                                     CHAPTER 11

I flew back to where I was supposed to be working at, growing flowers and making everything green and "pretty." Sometimes I forget, I lost a life as a normal kid and I can't spend that much time with the people I love. My eyes widened at what I was just thinking about, I shook my head and flew faster.

Things were going a little to fast for me, me and Leo... I like him but it's just going to fast. I don't want to hurt his feelings, but I have to tell him. We can go slower.

I cleared my thoughts and decided to go to a place in the USA, where they were having fall. I loved fall, it was always so colorful. Me and my brother would always jump in the leaves and we felt like normal kids. But we weren't. We were technically abandoned.

I sighed and watched as I made leaves fall off of a tree, turning a beautiful orange. I spread color where ever I was near, flying and swooping down, making wind blow around stray leaves. Then I saw a kid in a tree, a small crowd of children around it laughing.

"You can do it!" Some laughed some just stood there staring and grinning, "Now what's going on here?" I whispered to myself, I tried to control some of the leaves around here to make a pile of leaves underneath the tree, I didn't know what was happening but I knew I couldn't let him get hurt.

"Jump!" A small blond girl with unkept hair screamed, the kid in the tree looked like someone I knew, but I couldn't remember. The boy in the tree was wearing a brown shirt with jeans, and a blue and red jacket. He had brown hair and eyes. The boy laughed, then I noticed he didn't have a tooth. I could talk to tooth about it if something happens here...

"Jamie Bennett, are you scared?" A small girl with a white hat and short brown hair said, she also wore a green shirt with a scarf around her neck. "Pfft, no." Jamie said, looking down nervously. He was pretty high, one of the top branches, and was holding onto it so tight his knuckles were white. I sighed, maybe I could finally help someone be brave.

I flew up and hovered beside him. His name was familiar, from where I wasn't sure of, but I knew it. I crumbled a leave in my hand and blew it into his face. It didn't go through him, it hit him square in the face. His friends gasped, but he didn't. They all saw the leave bits, but not who blew them in his face. There was something new in his eyes, fear replaced with bravery.

I saw him stand on the frail branch and jump onto the ground and laugh, then he turned back and looked at me. He waved and smiled, I stared wide eyed. The only people who believed in me was Leo, Gilan, the twins at camp half blood and possibly Nikki. Everyone else who believed in me stopped.

"Do I know you?" I asked the boy, he looked at me confused and shook his head. "It's just, your name seems so familiar." He grinned up at me, I still studied him, trying to figure out how I knew him. "Do you know Jack Frost?" I nodded slowly, this boy was so mysterious... but he doesn't look like it. "I know him to!" Then I remembered, "His first believer!" He nodded joyfully but then I noticed his friends were giving him weird looks. I pointed to them, smiling, then Jamie laughed.

"It's a fairy." They shook their heads and smiled, "We told you, it was just a dream." The one in a Tutu said, my eyes widened and I flew down to stand beside Jamie. "These 'guardians' aren't real, they're for kids." The kid with a red hat said this, I noticed he had a twin. "I'm a new guardian, tell them I'm mother nature." I whispered to Jamie, he looked at me with wide eyes and nodded. "She's mother nature!" They shook their heads, smiling. "Mother nature is real, not the guardians." The girl with the red hat said. I felt my heart go to my mouth, if she believed in me, how did she not see me?

I flew up to the girl and went to one knee in front of her. I felt like... like I knew her. Not just from Jack's story's but from past experiences. "Pippa, she's right in front of you!" I let my left hand go to touch her on the shoulder, but it passed through in a wispy blue. "I know her." I whispered, I casted a look behind my shoulder and Jamie was shocked. "She know's you." He whispered, Pippa looked at Jamie like he was crazy. "Jamie Bennett, stop trying to be funny." I shook my head and put my hand over my mouth, I knew exactly who she was.

"Say I'm Farah Lazuli." I saw him about to respond, I made a gesture for him to say it and he did. Her eyes widened and she shook her head, "Gilan told me she died." I felt my hair turn to flames, saw it turn a blue flame. Sad. That was how I was feeling. Around me, a small circle of yellow grass formed. "Tell her I ran away to become a guardian." He repeated my words, except said Farah instead of I. She looked me in my eyes and screamed, she jumped back and turned to run.

I grabbed her arm, a handful of leaves in my hand, and crumbled them. Then I blew it in her face. She stared at me, shocked, with her jaw wide opened. I heard a small sound behind me, I ignored it. "This isn't real," She repeated that under her breath, and soon, my hand passed through her. The circle widened and was about to spread throughout the world before I heard this, "Pippa Overland!" I turned to see the person who got me and Leo together, Shadow Mendez, standing there with her hood over her head and one of her hands on her hips.

Overland... I didn't know her last name was Overland. But her last name seemed so... so familiar! I shrugged it off and waved to Shadow, "Pippa, I do not appreciate you treating my friend like that." She pulled her hood of, and I saw she was furious. Pippa's expression didn't change a bit, she just stood there confused. "Do I know you?"

"Name aren't important."

"They are if I'm not aloud to talk to strangers."

Shadow sighed, "I'm the devil's daughter."

Pippa laughed, "In your dreams."

"I can make you not have a dream in your life."

I stared at Shadow wide eyed, what did she mean by that? "I happen to know the 'boogeyman' actually." Then I realized what she was doing, she was trying to make her afraid, afraid so I could give her the bravery she needed.

"I can summon the dead right now, and believe me, Everyone will be able to see them. And that will be the last thing they will ever see." I saw Pippa start to become scared, that was when I grabbed a single leaf, crumbled it in my hand, and blew it in her face. She screamed and jerked back, then I saw her go to her normal self. Her braver self.

Then I remembered where her last name sounded so familiar, "You're Jack's sister!" I screamed, my hand flew to my mouth while I gasped. "Excuse me?" I breathed in and out slowly, then said, "Jack told the guardians about his past, he saved his sister's life. She could have been reborn, to you." Her jaw dropped and she just stared at me. "You gotta be kidding me." I sighed and thought about it again, "You know what, I'll get Jack to talk to you about it. How should I know his back story, after all I am the new guardian and all."

I waved with them and flew off, heading to where ever there may be snow.
