No one's POV
Forests around Gotham City are usually quiet and peaceful. But for last month isn't the forest as quiet as always.
Justice League and Young Justice teams are helping their leader Batman to catch two mysterious persons who were seen nearby the city and after an incident, they were called dangerous. The witnesses say they had wolf ears and tails and they transformed into a wolfs. They all knew now they are werewolves and they are dangerous.
Batman's POV
I've never seen these two persons with my own eyes I see them only in video recordings. I don't think they are dangerous. I was studying their actions and the people who were around them. I realised the bigger one probably the older one just tried to protect the smaller one from an angry man who started to beat him for no reason.
Then I saw both of them changing into their wolf forms. The bigger one was hiding the smaller one behind him. He was not afraid to hurt anyone who wanted to hurt them. I noticed when they started to run away that the smaller one seemed to be injured. But they made it into the forest before angry people get to them. They looked like kids the bigger one was not older than fifteen years old and the smaller one was around eight years old.
Whole League and Young Justice members saw these recordings and we all had the same opinion about these boys. We had to find them and help them.
We left Gotham and enter the forest we didn't know where to go so we separated into groups. Each mentor went with his young partner. I went with Robin and Nightwing who allowed himself to help us with this. It was not easy to make him help us.
We were about a mile away from Gotham and we reach Gotham hills. Nightwing found a little cave nearby the river on the east side of the hills. "Hey Bats. It looks like something lives here. There's a lot of traces here!" he called down to us. I and Robin were standing under the hill a few feets under him.
Suddenly we all heard a loud growl echoing throughout the whole area. All three of us turned around to the source of the growl. We could see a pair of yellow eyes looking at us. It was taller than Nightwing I am sure of that.
"Who are you?" Robin asked. Another growl was heard before it came to the light of the full moon. It was him one of the boys from the city he was in his werewolf form. His lightning-yellow eyes were staring at us. We could see his sharp white teeth when he growled. He was standing on two legs his hands were by his chest with sharp claws on his fingers. He had dark grey fur.
He was about to attack us we could see that in his standing position and in his eyes. By one move of my hand, I commanded both of my sons to stand down and to Nightwing to leave the area of the cave. He slowly got down the hill to avoid the attack from a werewolf.
But I saw him hesitate for a moment I bet he heard something from the cave but the werewolf heard it too and he started to run to us on all of his four legs. He was really fast. Faster than I thought. He jumped into the cave and gave us a warning look. "Leave us alone!" he growled before he disappeared into the cave.
"We have to inform the others," Nightwing said and I and Robin nodded. We all set our location to our gloves before we left.
"Batman to everyone," I said through the communicator in my ear. Soon I heard responses from the others. "End up your search and meet us in the Mountain," I said and everyone did as I said.
We all met back in the Mountain Justice to regroup. We all were standing in the centre of the mission room. None of them made eye contact with me except Nightwing and Robin because we were the only ones who found something.
"Listen up," I said to get everyone's attention. "we managed to find their lair." they all gave me confused faces. "Have you seen them?" Clark asked. I nodded. "We saw the older one. Because of the full moon, he was in his werewolf form." I explained.
Nightwing's POV
I knew more than Batman did so I took the next word. "And I heard the younger one," even Batman and Robin gave me confused faces. "when I was standing by the entrance to their cave I heard a quiet whining and I'm sure I heard even crying," I said the whole truth.
"So that means he is really injured from that attack in the city," Batman whispered. I nodded. "The older one looks like an overprotective guardian to him," Robin said. We all nodded.
"Then what do we do now?" Aqualad asked. "We know their location. We will return tomorrow." Batman said.
"Buuuuut," I started again. "I placed a small camera into their cave before I left. I don't know if it can record them or how deep it'll see but we will know when they leave the cave." I smiled and opened a huge holographic computer with a video recording from the cave. "You're full of surprises Nightwing," Flash said with a wide smile on his face. I smiled back.
Superman's POV
After Nightwing turned on his camera in the cave of werewolves we all could see the older one sitting by the entrance and watching the quiet forest around him. On the other side, we saw the younger one lying on the ground some old clothes covering him for even a little warmth.
Suddenly he started to move and whine loudly. The older one didn't hesitate even a second and he rushed to his side to comfort him. He was very protective of him. We were watching in silence before we heard a voice coming from the older werewolf. "Don't be scared I'm here. I won't let them hurt you again." his voice was soft but very deep almost rude it almost sounded like some movie monster's voice but a bit softer. I could hear the younger one sobbing quietly. "I just want to live in peace..." he said between his sobs. His voice sounded like the voice of a child. The older one deeply sighed. "I'm sorry. I know you would never hurt anyone but they want to hurt you. It's them who don't want to live in peace. They call us monsters." he growled.
A wave of silence echoed through the cave. "I hate full moon," the younger one sobbed. "I hate this form." older one hugged him around his shoulders. "Fortunately for us. It's just once a month." he smiled a bit but the younger one was already asleep.
We were looking at them for another few minutes but when nothing happened Nightwing turned off the video.
"I can't believe what we just saw." Wonder Woman said. "They just want to live. Not hiding in shadows like monsters." Flash added.
"We will visit them tomorrow," Batman said and we all nodded. I was feeling a bit uncomfortable with the older one he seems to be rude and not believing anyone. But we didn't know what happened to them in past.
"We should go and take a good sleep before tomorrow a feel we will need it," Nightwing said. "Agreed." Kid Flash said and he rushed out of the room. Everyone agreed too and we all headed to our rooms in the Mountain.
-in the werewolf cave-
"Jay?" sounded to the older werewolf's ear. He rose up his head a little. "What is it, Tim?" he asked. The younger one whined quietly. "Why did they do this to me?" he asked softly rubbing the abrasion on his right side. "They," the older one sighed. "they didn't understand us so they attacked us. They thought we will hurt them." he replied. "But...I would never..." younger one was cut off by his brother who placed his paw on his nose. "I know Timmy I know. But they didn't. Does it still hurt?" he said softly. Tim nodded. "A lot..." he whined. "Don't worry it will get better I promise." older one smiled a bit and Tim nodded and again fell to sleep. "I'm glad I'm with you Jason," Tim said before he completely let the darkness take him. Jason smiled at his little brother's innocent acting. He knew he must protect his little brother even harder than before.
