From Bad to Worse

I woke up 2 hours later after falling asleep. Kappa was still in my lap. Shaking him slightly, he woke up. He looked up at me and smiled. "Lets go check on Noodz," I said. "Okay," he said. We both got up and opened her door. She was in her regular clothes and talking with the doctor. She looked over at us and smiled. "Hey you guys! I'm just talking with the doctor for advice, so just give me a minute and we can leave," she said. I nodded at her. "Me and Kappa will be in the car waiting for you," I said. "Actually, I need to talk to you," the doctor said. He said goodbye to Noodz and Kappa. "We'll be in the car," Kappa said. "Okay," I said and gave him a kiss on the check.

The doctor and I walked into his office and he told mw to have a seat. I sat down and waited for him to speak. "You saved your friend. The ambulance would have not made it on time. But, this is her third time here for an overdose, I think it's time for rehab for her," he said. "Yes, I know. I didn't find out about the other times till she told me earlier. She agreed to rehab," I replied. "That's good. I just wanted to thank you for convincing her to go to rehab," he said. I nodded and walked put of the room.

I walked outside and saw Kappa's car. I opened the door and climbed inside. "What did the doctor want," Kappa asked. "I'll tell you later," I replied. "Can you guys take me to the rehab center," Noodz asked. "Of course," Kappa said. It was a 30 minute ride of silence. The whole time I was thinking about the whole situation. I couldn't help but think back to when I was dating... him. He had a drug problem as well. He would regularly take my money to support his habit. I would let him in fear of being put back in the hospital if I said no. The car stopped and we all got out.

Noodz hugged Kappa and whispered something in his ear. I couldn't tell what she said. Noodz walked over to me and gave me a big bear hug. "I'll be here for 3 months. After I get out, I'm going to find somewhere else to live so I can stay away from that stuff. I will miss you so much. Thank you," Noodz said. I hugged her tighter, trying not to cry. Noodz waved at us before going inside.

"So, what did the doctor want," Kappa asked. "To thank me for having Noodz go to rehab," I replied and taking his hand into mine. He gently kisses my hand and smiled. The ride back home was a comfortable silence. I opened the door and stepped inside. Kappa closed it as I was taking my shoes off. I walked into my bedroom and changed. "What do you want for dinner," Kappa asked. "I don't know yet," I replied. I heard a knock on the door and Kappa open it. "Yes she is," Kappa said. "Y/N, there's someone here for you," he yelled. I walked into the living room, getting closer to the front door. I was in the kitchen when I looked at the door. I froze and stared into his cold, hatefilled brown eyes.

It was... him.
