As soon as Oyin put the car in 'Park,' she smelled it. Her heart gave a little drumroll, and Oyin had to laugh at her own ridiculousness.

Henry loved ayamase...a lot. She hoped this would be a good step in the right direction for his and Mummy's relationship, because if there was something Mummy loved, it was someone who appreciated her cooking.

In that moment, Oyin was filled with awe at the Lord's working. Despite her inability to pray about the rift between her parents and her husband, God still heard the groanings of her heart and was working.

Oyin rested her head on the steering wheel.

Thank You, my Love. Thank You so much.

She got out of the car and walked into the house, a smile playing on her lips.

Oyin tried. She tried. She really did, but she could not stop her smile from slipping at the sight that greeted her, again.

Henry and Olive sitting together, again. So engrossed in each other that they did not hear her come in, again.

It means nothing. It means nothing, Oyin. She repeated to herself.

Forcing the smile back onto her face, she called out to Henry. "Hi, baby."

Henry looked up, and a wide smile engulfed his face. "Hey babe."

"Hi." She smiled back.

"Hi Olive."

Olive looked up as well. That was when Oyin saw that they had been watching something on Olive's phone.

"Hi Oyin."

Oyin tried not to read anything untoward on Olive's expression. Surely, the miniscule narrowing of her eyes was a side-effect of staring at a small screen for so long. Surely, the slight upturn of her lips was an attempt at a smile, not a sneer. Surely, that expression in her eyes was not anger at Oyin's interruption.

She was trying so hard not to read anything on Olive's face that she did not realize that Henry had walked over to her. He took her purse from her hand and gave her a quick peck on the lips.

"You went out after you left my office?" he asked.

Oyin snapped her attention back to her husband. "Yeah. Had to go into work for a few hours. We got a new client, and everyone is excited."

Henry nodded. "Cool. I wanna hear more. But first, tell me what you smell?"

Oyin rolled her eyes. "Your favorite sauce?"

Henry acquiesced. "My favorite sauce."

Oyin chuckled lightly. "I guess we have my mom to thank for that. She's the best."

"I just might drop you and marry her, if only for the food."

Oyin burst out laughing. "Okay, Henry. That sounds like a great idea that will go over well with my mom and dad."

She continued. "Speaking of which, I should go get them for dinner."

She looked around him to Olive. "The sauce my Mom made is really spicy. Is that okay with you, Olive? We have some sautéed veggies in the refrigerator that you can eat with your rice, if you would prefer."

"I think I would like to try the sauce. It smells really good. Thank you for offering, though."

Oyin gave a small smile. "Of course."

She turned back to Henry and took her purse from him. "I am going to head to the room to freshen up." That's when she noticed that he was still in the outfit he wore to work. "You haven't changed yet?"
