Katsuki and Deku didn't see each other for the rest of the night. Deku crashed on the sofa and Katsuki must've fell asleep in his room because Deku didn't see Katsuki, and he didn't fall asleep until eleven. Katsuki however, didn't fall asleep and was still awake at midnight. He had stayed up doing his homework and ended up staying awake for most the night. Hungry, Katsuki dragged himself out of bed and down the stairs, not caring about the creaking ones. He heard heavy breathing as he walked into the living room. He saw Deku laying on the sofa, his green curls obscuring most of his face. He was stirring and as he rolled around Katsuki noticed the knife in his hands. Deku started whimpering in his sleep as Katsuki walked closer to the boy. Katsuki crouched down and noticed that Deku was crying.

"Hey Shitface," Katsuki said, rocking Deku to try to wake him up. Deku was sobbing by this point and started whispering.

"Kacchan. Kacchan where are you?" Deku cried as Katsuki tried to wake him up.

"I'm here Shitface, now wake up before you cut yourself," Katsuki said, eyeing the knife. He couldn't take it off Deku without cutting him. Katsuki turned his attention back to Deku.

"Kacchan don't leave me! I need you Kacchan please don't leave me." Deku said, shaking with his own sobs.

"Deku!" Katsuki shouted. "Deku wake the fuck up!" The crying boy's eyes shot open as he jumped up from the sofa.

"K-Kacchan," Deku said as he lowered the knife he held in his hands.

"Jeez Deku, calm the fuck down I'm not going to hurt you." Katsuki said, his eyes softening at the crying boy. Katsuki grabbed Deku's wrist and pulled him in for a hug. Deku gasped at the sudden show of affection and shoved his head in the crook of Katsuki's neck. After Deku's sobbing calmed down Katsuki decided to talk to him.

"So your a villain and have crazy good precision with knives but you have night terrors?" Katsuki asked. "What kind of villain is that?"

"A quirkless one that got hit by a night terror quirk." Deku mumbled. Katsuki's eyes widened as he pulled away.

"What? When?" Deku looked up at Katsuki's concerned tone. He looked genuinely concerned.

"Um, a few months ago. I haven't been able to sleep probably again since. It's a pain in the ass." Deku chuckled.

"How does it work? Surely it would have worn off by now." Katsuki pointed out. Deku shook his head.

"It uses your weaknesses against you. If your scared of spiders you'll have night terrors of spiders until you get over them. In a way it's a good quirk because it helps you get over your fears, but it's a pain in the ass mostly. Especially if you can't get over your fear." Deku sighed. He then clamped a hand over his mouth. Katsuki heard a muffled 'shit' as he turned back to look at the boy.

"What?" Katsuki asked in confusion. Deku sighed.

"Nothing." Deku responded. "Hey what's the time?" Katsuki fished his phone out his pocket. The time read quarter to one in the morning.

"Hungry?" Deku asked as he started walking to the kitchen. Katsuki nodded and followed but stopped at the door frame, leaning against it. Deku started looking through the cupboards only to find nothing to his fancy. Suddenly, Deku spun around.

"Did I wake you up?" Deku looked over at Katsuki, who shook his head.

"No, I was doing homework." Deku raised an eyebrow.

"At midnight?" Katsuki nodded. Deku turned around to look inside the freezer and saw ice cream. He grabbed the container and a spoon and walked past Katsuki.

"Well I got my food." Katsuki looked up.

"Hey you little shit that's my ice cream!" Katsuki shouted as Deku looked up.

"I thought you didn't like sweet stuff?" Deku asked as Katsuki got a spoon out of the draw.

"That ice cream's an exception. C'mon lets go to my room." Katsuki said, walking past Deku. Deku followed Katsuki up the stairs into Katsuki's room. Katsuki sat on the bed as Deku looked at the books that were sprawled across the bed.

"Are you kidding me?" Deku pointed to one of the textbooks. Katsuki raised his eyebrows. "It's fucking easy." Katsuki scoffed.

"You try it then if you think your so smart." Katsuki said as Deku tossed him the ice cream pot.

"Give me a pencil and your work book and I'll show you how easy it is." Deku said with a smirk on his face. Katsuki handed him the equipment. "And don't even think about eating all of that." Deku said as Katsuki opened the ice cream container. Katsuki smirked as Deku began to write out the equations in the book. After five minutes, Deku snatched the pot of Katsuki.

"Hey!"

"Hey yourself. I told you not to eat it all." Deku said as he tossed the book to Katsuki. Katsuki frowned as he looked through the book.

"How the fuck do you know how to do this?" Katsuki asked, shocked that the boy had not only completed the assigned work, but the next page as well.

"When are you going to give me credit? Did you really think I'd drop out of school and miss out on years' worth of knowledge? Just because I don't want to be a hero doesn't mean I want to be dumb." Deku said, digging into the ice cream.

"Wait a minute," Deku said after a few minutes of thought, "you hate strawberry ice cream." Deku looked over at Katsuki who's gaze was glued to the books. Deku crawled over to Katsuki and shoved a spoonful of ice cream into his mouth. Katsuki looked up at Deku as he swallowed the ice cream.

"You, uh, wouldn't know how to do this question would you?" Katsuki pointed to a question in another book. Deku however, kept his eyes on Katsuki.

"Kacchan," Deku started, grabbing Katsuki's face, "Why's this one an exception?" Katsuki looked away from Deku. Katsuki could tell Deku was getting annoyed at his ignorance because Deku's grip on the spoon tightened. Deku saw Katsuki mumble something.

"What was that Kacchan? I didn't catch that!" Deku said with a smirk as Katsuki met his eyes and raised his voice.

"It's an exception because it's your favourite." Katsuki said, keeping eye contact with the boy. Deku froze and one question kept running around his head.
