“Su!” yelled Kenai in outrage. His claws disappeared, sheathing his sword. Kenai’s shaggy, black hair is now wet, his dark eyes furious. He wore no shirt, for he always sleeps with just his shorts in the summer. Even though he would never give a girl the time of day, they always fall for his “handsome” features. Just because the guy has a six pack from working out and looks like a rock star, he’s suddenly the cool twin.

“Well good morning to you to,” Su smirked.

“You know not to sneak up on me while I’m sleeping,” growled Kenai.

“But you’re up now thanks to moi. Now, get dressed!” said Su. Kenai sighed, “I swear, sometimes you’re like an annoying wolf pup.”

Su suddenly transformed into a pure white wolf with blue eyes. She got on her back and faked a cute whimper. Kenai rolled his eyes, “Yeah whatever. Let me get dressed.”

She changed back, “And let me leave your room because nobody wants to see what’s going on with you downstairs.”

Kenai frowned, “We don’t have a downstairs.”

“I mean that downstairs,” said Su, pointing at the spot under his now on black shirt. Kenai’s face got as red as a tomato. Luckily he had boxers on, otherwise Su would be blinded, “Get out!” glared Kenai.

Su rolled her eyes and went out of the room. She walked down the hallway, her feet touching a soft red rug with fake gold line on the edges. She entered the kitchen only to find Sensei at the table. Their kitchen looks like any other kitchen: a fridge, a counter and a stove on one side of the room, and the dining table on the other. Su went to sit on the chair across from Sensei.

“Did you have a good sleep Su?” asked Sensei Mewa.

“Yeah,” answered Su, “but my dream was pretty weird.”

“Oh? Why don’t you tell me,” suggested Sensei.

Su did. As she was finished with the story, Kenai came in and grabbed an apple on the table. He has chosen to wear his leather black vest today, with a dark shirt and pants. His yang necklace hung around his neck, just as it always has. Su’s Yin necklace still hung around her own neck. When they were born, their parents gave them the necklaces. The necklaces helps them with their powers, until . . . the trip. The trip took their parents lives . . .

Su shook the thought out of her head. Stop dwelling on the past, she thought. She put on her smile.

“Morning Kenai,” said Su happily. Kenai just rolled his eyes and grabbed a piece of bacon instead, putting down his healthy red apple back on the table. Boys.

“Kenai, your sister said good morning,” said Sensei Mewa.

“Ugh,” grumbled Kenai, “Fine. Good morning.”

“I’d watch your attitude if I were you,” warned Sensei. He got up from his chair, “Eat your breakfast. After you do, meet me at the Dojo. We’ll continue your training in battle.” He went to the backyard.

Su and Kenai grinned at the thought of battle. Even if they don’t get along sometimes, they always enjoy a one-on-one duel. As Kenai stuffed his bacon in his mouth, he teased at Su-Ming, “Ready to get your butt kicked?”

Su rolled her eyes, “Says the guy that ended up in the mud at our last training battle.”

“Hey, it was the duck’s fault,” protested Kenai, “It made me trip over it.”

“Uh-huh,” said Su, not convinced. They raced to the Dojo as they are ready to train; just like any other ordinary day in Masimuwa . . .

      Or so she thought.
