Love you to death

"Ca-Calm down, Archard." At the sound of Adira's voice, the cold, oppressing, murderous rage that consumed the man quickly melted before fixing his posture and smiling to her happily and nodded his head obediently.

The nurse and all the onlookers, stared at him, flabbergasted, as he just flipped on and off like that in a split second. The death god that all so suddenly crept out from hell immediately crawled back to his shell with just a few words from the almighty Adira Costello.

"Since Adira told me to calm down, I'll give you ten seconds to step away from her or else..." He didn't need to finish his threat. Everyone knew what he wanted to say as he looked at the nurse with a sharp and chilly glare almost akin to a newly sharpened knife.

The nurse turned her head towards her mistress, silently asking her permission—because if she said otherwise, then to hell with her life, she ain't stepping away—before Adira softly nodded and sent her away.

She didn't want unnecessary injuries just because this man didn't want anyone touching her-even so much as just being near her.

She was scared of him—heck! terrified even!—but she was betting on that millionth, slimmest chance that she could tame him if she just pushed the right buttons.

Archard happily strode closer to Adira and squatted in front of her again. The latter didn't know what he wanted as she observed him warily, placing up all the guards she could possibly put up.

"Adira, call me again. I like it when you call my name. Hey, why's that? Will you please call me again? Call my name, please?" He ranted.

Adira hesitated at first but she didn't see anything wrong with conceding this time. He just went ballistic a minute ago, after all. It'd be bad if she triggered him in any way.

"A-Archard... Sir." Adira faltered, obviously shaken with his brutal display, and unconsciously used a more formal tone with him.

"Tsk. Tsk." Archard clicked his tongue while shaking his head before fixing his gaze onto her cerulean eyes and added "Talk to me like you usually do. Scold me like always. Call me like how you usually call me. I want my feisty, mean and sadistically beautiful Adira."

What the fuck's wrong with your head?

"Okay." Adira forcefully calmed herself and regained her composure to Archard's delight and you can see him wagging his tail happily again.

"Hey! Hey! Little dove! I forgot I've actually got a surprise for you! That's why I came here." Archard chirped and suddenly stood up, pulling Adira up with him in the process. "I was almost dying from missing you and was stunned by your beauty the moment I laid eyes on you that it all just flew out of my head."

He added with an embarrassed blush as if he was a teenage girl confessing a long time crush.

Gross! A death god like you looks so gross like that!! Please stop that! Spare my eyes!

Adira could only sigh. She looked impatient as she planted a hand on her hips and demanded Archard to reveal his surprise.

"Ahhh~ I really love this Adira."

"Hurry it up! We're disturbing everyone!" Adira scolded. Well, if he wanted to be scolded then she'll go all out with it.

"Right! Come with me then!" Archard pulled her out of the room without waiting for her confirmation before stopping, doubling back and bowed in apology to everyone as well as asking them to pass along to the teacher that he 'abducted' Adira.
