Am I in heaven?

Things went back to the way it used to be before Archard came and turned Adira's life upside down—NOT!

She went to school in a daze as she silently on her desk with a soft dreamy gaze on her face that made her incredibly gentle and warm that people couldn't help but be attracted with her countenance. Boys and girls alike followed her every move with reddish tinges on their faces. Silent whispers floated around the campus telling the mysterious case of the cold iceberg princess warming up like the summer sun—a soft, bright radiance.

"Umm. Lady Costello." A girl, Adira recognized as her classmate and coincidentally also the class monitor, came forward and started to speak to her albeit trembling slightly.

"Yes?" Adira answered as civilly as she could and turned her head slightly to the girl's direction—the gentle breeze fanned and blew the stray locks off her face coupled with the sun that bathed her ethereal figure making her look celestial. An out-of-this-world beauty that you couldn't help but envy and adore it at the same time.

"The..." The girl's words flew out of her head as she stared at the mellow, calm and clear blue orbs of Adira—it was as clear and as beautiful as the calm sky and seas, glittering like the most precious jewel and like the calm sea as the sun's light bounces off its surface. She could almost feel them sucking out her soul, as if compelling her to willingly lay everything down for the lady without strings attached.

"Is something the matter?" Adira raised her brows in confusion. Something was wrong with the way her classmate was acting. She was just standing there, staring, opening and closing her mouth as if wanting to say something but cannot manage to spill it out and just staying there rooted on her spot.

Does she need me for something?

Adira thought before she finally let her eyes roam around their cemetery-silent classroom. For once, aside from classes, it was as silent as temples and churches and cemeteries. It was so silent that you could hear a pin drop. Everyone was staring at the both of them.

Could it be... Hey! I'm not bullying the class monitor, you know?!

"Umm.. Have I done something wrong?" Adira tentatively asked. Maybe she did something while her mind was short-circuiting because of Archard. That would be embarrassing and bad.

Her soft melodious voice finally snapped the class monitor out of being stupefied and the latter momentarily panicked.

"N-N-No! Of course not! I just wanted to ask if you wanted to participate in the class' play?" she finally asked her agenda that miraculously came back to her.

"Class play?" Adira repeated. It wasn't that she was not aware of it, more like she didn't care. They never once asked her to participate in anything anyway. So she wasn't that bothered with anything. She just focused on the boring lessons and her own world. They never accepted her into their world either—out of fear.

"Yes. See, the school festival is just a few weeks away and umm.. we just wanted to ask you."

Adira once again let her eyes wander around the few expectant gazes of her classmates.

They can't be serious, right?

As Adira thought this, she settled on her decision and opened her mouth to answer the class monitor when her phone suddenly beeped. She silently sent an apology to the class monitor and hurriedly checked the message. It was from Archard.

How'd he get my number?... Dad? Damn it.

It said, "Little dove, you're participating in the play? That's great! I'll bring you something good when I come back! As an early reward!"
