*Jack's P.O.V*
I ran after Alex, I saw her eyes watering when she slammed her locker. I couldn't reach her, she does off pretty fast. I wasn't expecting her to be the type to ride a skateboard. I ran back to the group. "Where is she!?" Christina yelled in panic. " I couldn't catch up to her! " Jack answered. "Why'd you go after her anyways? She had to get home anyway" Corbyn stated. ".... When she slammed her locker..... It looked like she was.... Crying?" Jack stated more like a question to himself. "We've been best friends since we were five... And I've never seen Alex cry" Christina said in a confused and worried tone. "Really!?" The youngest, Zach asked. Everyone was confused. "She has always seemed scared of her dad... At least ever since... Her mom ran away..." " Her mom ran away!? " asked Jonah. "What do you mean 'Ran Away' !?" Asked Daniel . "I think her mom and dad got in an argument, her mom got scared, packed her things and left. I don't know the full story though... Alex doesn't feel comfortable talking about it..." Christina explained .
*Alex's P.O.V*
I got home, knowing exactly what was going to happen. I opened the front door and walked in. "YOU'RE LATE!!!" my dad's booming voice echoed through the house. " S-sorry dad.. " my dad walked up to me with clenched fists. He punched... And punched... And punched.
One hour later
I went to my room and started crying. Everything hurt. You would think that because I'm used to it, it wouldn't hurt. But that makes it hurt even more. I sat on my bed and waited for sleep to take over. That's the only place I am happy... It's all in my dreams. Finally, I fell asleep.
