(Rochella's POV)

"Do you think any of this is actually real? It seems like it's all fake like she went crazy or something." Willa asked.

Oh no I thought. What am I supposed to do? I decided to first get my breathing under control first; deep breath in, deep breath out, in and out, in and out. Ok, how did my mum prep me for this again? She said to think about how the situation occurred if Willa found out. Ok well, this situation occurred because Willa got a journal from her mom that contains everything that she is supposed to not know. The next step was to um... ask myself if this situation could be undone? Well, I guess this situation could be undone by agreeing that her mum was crazy, but I don't really want to lie to Willa because she is my best friend. If I don't want to lie to Willa anymore than I will have to tell her the truth, she's gonna find out from somebody else soon anyway. So, my solution to this situation is to tell her the truth, I guess it might sound better coming from me?

"Um, Willa? How am I going to say this," I asked myself. "Ok. Willa what your mum said is mostly true."

Once I said this, I could see she was trying to see if I was joking in my eyes. But once she looked in my eyes you could tell that I was meaning the truth.

"No, this can't be true. Cause if it's true then I would have noticed something, anything," she whispered stumblingly.

"You have never known because ever since I met you, my family and I have been protecting you from the truth. We've been hiding the attacks of the Gentry on your home and at school and we've been fighting the Gentry who come to attack you. Remember when we had that random lockdown last year? How I said I was in the toilet the whole time? Well, I lied. I was outside battling the Gentry. All those loud bangs you could hear? Well, that was me smashing the Gentry or the Gentry smashing me." I then noticed her expression and the way she was kinda curling in on herself. "Hey Willa, keep your eyes on me." She looked up with her grey eyes on my ocean blue eyes. "I know this is scary and life-changing – like "Luke, I'm your father" life-changing – but, you can still live the life that you want remember? Just because your mom was Gentry, doesn't mean your Gentry or even half-Gentry if you don't want to be. Ok? You hear me?"

Willa nodded her head before placing her head with dark red locks on my shoulder. Willa then turned and started to hug me, I returned the hug.

(Karl's POV)

Plump, plump, plump went my feet on the concrete ground as I contemplated on how to annoy my mum for making me do this.

"Hey bro what's wrong?" Asked Liam noticing my grumpiness.

"Nothing apart from the fact that it's 2 am in the morning and here we are out on patrol in Melbourne's centre!"

"I totally agree Karl."

Liam is my best friend, Gentry hunter partner and is kinda like my brother. We have known each other since we were born. Liam was born two months before me, but that didn't separate us from each other. Liam's mother and my mother were best friends back in the day but ever since Liam's mom got the Guild in Melbourne my mom has just ceased civility with Liam's mom.

"Why are we out here again Liam?" I whispered as we walked around the Melbourne streets.

"We're here because at the south-east corner the Gentry sensor was triggered."

"Ok. So, we are looking for stray Gentry that has had a bit too much grape juice."

"I guess so."

After that, we kept walking for another twenty minutes in the south-east corner until the Gentry trackers (A.K.A. trackers) that we held handy started to blare off quietly into the silent night. I made a hand signal to Liam to turn off his tracker and to stealthy walk down the alleyway, we made our way into. This area of Melbourne is one of the stingier areas, as in there is garbage in the streets and there are some homeless people who sleep on the streets or there are drunk people stumbling on the streets.

I quickly using my enhanced eyesight peer into the darkness that stretched in front of us for maybe one kilometre.

"Hey Liam, can you smell that?" I whispered whilst breathing the air that suddenly went sour in my nose (another of the many enhancements that us Gentry Hunters get to help detect Gentry).

"Yeah. Look over there I think I can see one. Is it dragging something?"

"Well, we're about to find out," I mumbled as I started to sprint over to the objects that Liam pointed out. Single handily while I was running over to the objects, I grabbed my longsword which was sheathed on my back. When I was close enough to realise that the object dragging another object was a Gentry, I jumped and flew through the air to land just behind the Gentry who started to run. It dropped the object that it was dragging and started to sprint to the outskirts of Melbourne. I ran after the Gentry with my longsword by my side, but just as I was starting to catch up a truck drove out of a driveway splitting me and the Gentry that I was hunting to the opposite sides of the truck. I couldn't go around the truck so using all my strength I jumped up onto the roof of the truck and then leapt onto the roof of the closest building and started to run after the Gentry. I soon spotted the Gentry ahead of me, so I used the little reserve of my energy that I had left to give me some more speed to catch up just behind the Gentry. I then leapt from the roof of the building I was running on and landed on the shoulders of the Gentry which caused it to topple to the ground face flat. I luckily jumped off the Gentry's shoulder straight away and landed a foot from the Gentry. I then stepped over the Gentry and grabbed the longsword that I held in my right hand with my other hand and plunged my longsword down into its abdomen.

(Rochella's POV)

I woke up to my mum shaking me awake and signalling for me to be quiet as Willa was still asleep. Well, I guess I would still be asleep if I just got told that there is this supernatural being called a Gentry and that your mother was one. Oh crap! Willa knows the truth! Mum must have picked up on my distress in my mind because she signals for us to go outside. I nodded in agreement. I let her walk ahead of me as I walked out – I don't need to tiptoe because I have had an enhancement of silent walking – and into the kitchen to talk with my mum.

"What's wrong sweetie?" She asked.

I worriedly chewed my lip as I contemplated what my mum's reaction would be.

"Mum, she knows," I stated plainly.

"What does Willa - I'm assuming – know?" She innocently asked.

"Willa knows the truth." I managed to stumbleout.
