He's here. He's there. He's in the sand, he's in the air.

"Oh my beautiful darling," he lulls, like the wind who sets fire.

Like the shore who brings in the waves, like the birds who fly higher.

"I will never leave you baby, please don't go away."

How many times has he left today?

He is my boogeyman, so distant, yet so near.

He's in the shadows, that only comes out when you're feeling fear.

He waits, preying on the innocent. He waits, like a wolf who stalks the deer.

He doesn't want you.

Oh no.

Don't keep saying he loves you.

He is the predator when you are down.

When you no longer want to be around.

Always taking for himself, leaving you empty and bare.

Leaving you with nothing left to share.

You are tired and no longer want this old love.

But he has pulled you too deep, so there's no going back.

Nope it's too late for that.

He is the predator that preys on the innocent.

The one who everyone loves.

Don't let him fool you with those misguided brown orbs.

She cared for him so hard, she cared for him too deep.

She doesn't know what to do anymore.

She's lost, much like a sheep.

The boogeyman has pulled trick after trick.

He'll continue to use you like a fucking dick.

But know this.

You are strong, and don't deserve his lies.

He'll continue to repeat all the warning signs.

He'll ask you to stay. He'll tell you he'll change.

But we both know those are fake.

He won't love you now or ever.

It's a hard truth but it's better now than never.

You are the bug caught in his web.

But it's a lie if you think you can't climb out of it.
