What is it you wish for?
Money?
Fame?
Love?
It is yours!
But it comes at a price
You can wish for money
But your friends will pester you for eternity
And fight for what is theirs when you die
You can wish for fame
But every little thing you do is scrutinized for the rest of your life
From the way you brush your teeth
To yelling at that store clerk who tried to screw you over
You can wish for love
But really will they really love you for you?
Or will they only love because of the wish?
For you see
Every wish you make
Has a caveat
Every wish you make
Can be twisted and turned
Into something you didn't expect
Of course you can try not making the wish
But, come on. Let's be honest
Do you really think you can resist the temptation of making a wish?
Could you really go about your pathetic life without having the power of making something happen in your favor?
Of course not
So
I ask again
What is it you wish for?
