Chapter 13

Bloom sat in the rocking chair, waiting. The door flew open, banging against the wall. Sky came in and slam the door shut ignoring Bloom flinching away from the loud noise. He just stood there, trying to keep himself together as possible.

"How long?" he asked. Bloom didn't respond, she was too busy fiddling with her fingers.

"God damn it, Bloom! Answer the question! How LONG did You knew about this?!" Sky commanded. Bloom broke down and cry.

" I don't know Sky! I--I just don't know. The vi--visions were the only th--thing that tells. But it so--so complicated!" Bloom's cries made Sky regret his yelling. Bloom stop and smile softly.

"But I do know one good thing that will happen. We survive as well as the twins in the end," Bloom said.

"What about our friends?"

"I--I don't know!" She started to cry again. Sky knelt beside the rocking chair. He put a reassuring hand on her back, calming rubbing her back. He could feel her bones beneath his fingertips. He didn't realize how thin she was. The pregnancy was killing her. But the visions said they would survive but sometimes things happen that was not what the visions predicted.

"Bloom. . ." Sky stopped himself before he place a hand on Bloom's stomach. He didn't have to say anything more. Bloom lift her head, sniffling, and place her hand over his. They stay like that for what felt like an eternity until they heard a knock and door open revealing Tecna.

"Sky, we need. . ." Tecna stop and look at her her friends. Bloom's face was cover in tears, not looking up while Sky just stare at her.

"Oh, um, I think I should um go," Tecna said.

"I think you should," Sky said coolly, turning his face back to Bloom. Bloom whimper softly, as the door closes. Sky lift her up and carry her to bed. Once Bloom settle down, she soon fell asleep, her head resting in the crook of his arm while his other arm resting on her stomach. Sky turn his head and lightly kiss her on the forehead. Bloom shift her body closer, she whimper as beads of sweat came down her forehead. He watch in horror as another vision took hold of Bloom. He couldn't do anything for her but wait for it to be done. He pray to the Great Dragon that she will survive this. Soon, he fell asleep. The silence in the cottage is they're only reminder at what is at stakes.

She walk silently to the lake, the pain has ebb away with the help of a temporary healing spell. It would only last for 3 hours. 3 hours of free pain was fine with her. Footsteps echo behind her. She froze, frantically looking for cover, deciding to hide behind a shelf of rock. She held her breath as she waited for the footsteps to continue. She then heard it slow down and then stop. Something touch her, making her scream. Her body was force to turn around and suddenly relax.

"Oh god, Bloom! Don't you ever do that to me," Sky said hugging her. She shook her head furiously, pulling away from him. Sky look at her confuse.

"Sky, I can't be near anyone, not even you," Bloom said walking away. Sky ran after her.

"Bloom, listen to yourself. This is nonsense!"

"Sky! I can't take it anymore! I'm putting all of our friends in danger. My family, no, our family at risk!"

"Bloom, out there our friends are defeated or worst kill by Electra. While we are stuck here, looking for the way out of here!"

"There is no way out Sky! We're done, it's over!"

"Bloom, listen to me! It's over when I say it is over!"

A loud boom shook the cavern. Sky grab her hand and they ran. He quickly conjure up a portal, don't know how he did it, and they ran through. Narrowly missing an ice blast from Icy.

She woke up to the familiar sounds of wings flapping and dragon roars. She turn her head over and look at Sky who was also waking up.

"Welcome back to Pyros, Bloom," a familiar voice spoke. Bloom smile at Sky as she turn her head up to see an old friend.
