starry night

it was a cliche, but sprightly night
where from crying, eyes are tight
where smiles and bodies are alive
sparks and colors were revived

amidst the dark of the sky
life in them was hard to describe
these specks burned lucidly
but are seen ephemerally

i have never seen such a view
it's rare even though it is not new
their cores were ineffable
indeed, they are a little unstable

they were mix of sobs and laughs
the last of smooths and roughs
they're a nebula, ever so striking
but inside, their hearts were breaking

yes, it was not just any other night
it was the very last night
where these stars lit each other up
where these stars shined so bright

this was a poem originally entitled as nebula, and it's about our last promenade night. originally it was meant to be in our school paper but it didn't make it so i just posted it here lmao.
