Chapter 11- Semi Finals

It has been two months since Kartik and Naira have started their journey in the college. They are  good friends even after so much opposition from Anjali, the bellas leader. Kartik have started to feel something for Naira but he has not yet understanding the feeling, he sometimes think that it might be infatuation. Naira's condition was not exception, she has the same feeling !!

Today is semi finals and many teams are performing with the best they can. But here Anjali is making them perform again the same song as she is so sure that they will definitely win it but this time not only Naira but also other members are not liking her idea.

They reach the venue and see a team performing so well as they were some experts or experienced people.That team was named as 'Rockstars'

G- How are we gonna beat them
A- We will , don't take tension
N- But they are so good to loose
A- Just shut up and focus
S(Samridhi)- This time I'm really not sure
A- Focus girls

(There are other girls too, but Samridhi, Anjali, Naira , Gayu and Ishita will be in focus)

Host- So here are the Barden Bellas

They go on the stage and perform, but as the audience was not so interested in listening to them.

After sometime the results were announced.

H- First is Rockstars

      Second is Treblemakers

        Third is Sockappella

There was a sad look on the faces of bellas, they all rushed backstage to collect their belongings while the treblemakers also went for the same thing. Kartik saw Naira in a very sad mood, he wanted to cheer her up but didn't want to do it in front of Anjali .

Anjali somewhere knew that this all happened because of her, so to take out her frustration she started blaming Naira

A- Naira it is your fault that we lost

Everyone was shocked

N- What are you saying
A- You didn't hit your notes at the correct time

N- Nope I did it

This was all witnessed by the treblemakers

A- You were lost somewhere and I know that you are hooking up with Kartik

Kartik was now hell angry because he was unnecessarily dragged into their useless fight and for blaming Naira too

K- We are not hooking up

N(irritatingly)- Back off ! Kartik I can handle it, I don't need anyone, not you even ok??.....so just stay away

Kartik was surprised at her behaviour. Naira was having tears in her eyes

A- You know what Naira we are better without you

N- Its also ok with me

Naira runs from there with tears in her eyes, kartik also runs behind her not caring what others will say. He spots the Rockstars team in between with their belongings and sees that on their bag HIGH SCHOOL was written and this competition is only for the teams from colleges. He decides to do something about it.

Next Day

Anjali receives a call , and her expression changed. She excitedly called everyone for a meeting.

They met in an hour with Naira sitting there too as she was forced to come by Samridhi.

A- The authorities have given us a second chance and we are selected for the finales. Yaaay!!!!

Everyone shouted in excitement and hugged each other

A- I want to say SORRY to each and everyone one of you specially Naira for my behaviour, I was too worried to win this that I didn't even realize what I was doing. But I realized after the call that I can't handle this much pressure so I want to give the leadership to NAIRA!!

N- What are you serious

A- If you have forgiven me please take the responsibility

N- Ok then everyone ready, put your hands in

Everyone puts there palm above eachothers

N- And say aaaaa after 3........Ready??.....1 2 3

Everyone- aaaaaaaaaaaa

After few hours

Naira ran and jumped on Kartik from behind

K- aa Naira what are you doing
N- Just having fun

K- Really??? Yesterday you asked me to back off so you also stay away from me

N(surprised)- What are you joking or what...I only came to tell.....

K- That you people are selected

N- Are you not happy

K(sternly)- I am so please now let me do my work

N- What happened

K- You really wanna know what happen

N- Yes

K- So listen do you ever have a bf??

N- Nooooo

K(still sternly)- Don't think, I'm only asking you why you didn't have one, were they not your type

N- umm....sometimes i thought they were but I denied because I can't deal with the heartbreak

K- And so you push everyone away who tries to come close to you, even in a friendly or helping way

N- No i don't

K- That's what you did yesterday

N- But......

K- You know what Naira.....have you ever seen a sunset??

N- Why did you ask

K- the sun's real beauty is revealed when we see the beautiful sunset , people take pains to stand there to see it, to enjoy it , they may have to return home in the chilling night after the sun but the view is outstanding so they take a little bit of pain to enjoy the moment......and that's what Naira you don't do, you want everything perfect without pains no relationship is built not even simple friendship without some sacrifice(Kartik started having tears in his eyes)

And in the end I just want to say I LOVE YOU NAIRA, you might ask why how when??  I don't know, it just happened.

Kartik leaves a shocked and numb Naira behind.
She realises after hearing Kartik what blunder has she been doing her whole life and want to make it right.

N- I love you too
