With every step that we take, we get closer and closer to the point where we're standing in front of each other, face to face, ready to say what's on our mind. What's been so distant for so long.

I was currently getting ready for Jungkook's birthday party while Jaehyun was nagging at me.
Jaehyun: How much longer?
Y/N; I just need to put on my shoes and lipstick now.
Jaehyun: Which shoes?
Y/N: The black heels with silver studs.
Jaehyun: I'll go get them for you.
Y/N: Okay.
Jaehyun walks into my closet and gets my heels for me while I apply my lipstick. He sets them down in front of me and I smile and thank him.
Jaehyun: Done! Let's go now.
I giggle and follow him out of my room into his car.
Jaehyun: What did you get him for his present?
Y/N: Hmm, secret.
Jaehyun: Even from me?
Y/N: Yup, no one gets to know but him.
Jaehyun: Ouch, I'm hurt.
Jaehyun pouts and places his right hand over his heart. I laugh and tell him to focus on the road and stop being so dramatic.
Y/N: What did you get him?
Jaehyun: Secret~
Y/N: What? Are you doing this just to spite me?
Jaehyun: Maybe~
Y/N: Yah, not fair!
I whine and cross my arms over my chest which makes him look my way.
Jaehyun: Then you tell me too.
Y/N: It's fine, I'm sure mine is better than yours anyway.
Jaehyun: Oh? How can you be so sure?
Y/N: Because being confident about your gift makes it all the more special.
Jaehyun laughs and ruffles my hair while I complain and tell him to focus on the road again.
Jaehyun: You're so cute.
Y/N: And you're dumb now focus!
We finally arrive at Jungkook's party and the first thing we see is Jungkook jump in front of us. I slightly get scared and back away a bit from Jungkook.
Y/N: Geesh, you almost gave me a heart attack.
Jungkook: You guys are finally here!!!
Jaehyun: Sorry it took so long. Someone couldn't get ready on time.
They both look at me and I hit their arm which makes them complain. I laugh at their cute whining and they also join me.
Jungkook: Sorry Y/N but I gotta borrow Jaehyun for a second.
Y/N: It's okay; it's your birthday after all. Speaking of, here you go.
I hand Jungkook his present and the first thing he does is check what it is inside the bag.
Jungkook: I've wanted this game for the longest time, thank you Y/N!!!
Jungkook pulls me into a hug and I laugh and pat his back.
