Betty:
The wedding was almost completely planned, most things were booked and payed for. I was having a days rest with Veronica and we were spending the night drinking wine at my house.
"So you're taking a break from baby-making?" Veronica questioned as she nodded towards the glass in my hand. "Yeah, I went back on the pill - Archie doesn't actually know yet..." I said rather quietly. "You didn't discuss it?" She asked and I shook my head, "no... I don't want to let him down but I just think we should get the wedding out of the way first - relieve some stress." I sighed and she nodded with a smile.
"Do you ever think about that man? Like what could have happened if you found him?" V questioned. "What?" I asked with a furrowed brow. "You know! That man from the train platform," she said in tone that suggested "how could you forget?". "Did you ever find him?" She asked suddenly excited. "I... erm.. no." I stammered while feeling my face begin to flush. "Oh my god! You met him didn't you!" She stated with a huge grin plastered on her face. I shook my head quickly and downed the rest of my wine. "So what was his name?" She asked sitting up a little straighter and I stared down into my now empty glass. "Do I know him or something, is that why you won't tell me?" She said, in a less joyful manner. I caught her eye and sighed. "Yeah," I whispered. "Oh my god..." she replied and stared at me, "it's Jughead isn't it." She said leaving her lips parted when she finished her sentence.
"I can't believe it's Jughead!" She yelled before rising to her feet. "I didn't tell you because you were so excited for me to meet him and you were so happy V," I explained and she laughed a little while shaking her head. "So you're telling me nothing happened between you?" She asked and I paused. "He kissed me once." I whispered and I looked up to see tears streaming down her face. "You're unbelievable Betty - I feel sorry for Archie," she said and I looked at her waiting for her to continue. "You're going to marry him when in reality all you've really wanted is his friend." She snapped before grabbing her bag and her jacket. "Veronica, I'm sorry - please don't leave..." I said as I chased after her. "Stop it Betty, we're done here." She said, taking one last look at me before walking away.

It was a few weeks until my wedding and I still hadn't spoken to Veronica. Archie had been home two days and I told him that I wasn't sure if Veronica would come to the wedding due to a falling out we had (but of course I didn't tell him the reason).
One morning we were laying in bed, something I felt we hadn't done in a while. "I'm going to hop in the shower," he said before pecking my lips and rolling to the side. I heard the shower switch on and I listened to the water falling until I heard Archie's phone. I reached over and grabbed it and saw a message on the screen. "This bed is pretty lonely without you in it." - Josie. I unlocked the phone and clicked on the messages, i felt my blood boil as I saw all the texts and pictures they had been sending each other. "Betty-" Archie began as he walked out of the bathroom but stopped when he saw me with his phone. "What are you doing?" He asked and I stood up and faced him on the other side of the room. "How long have you been screwing her?" I asked waving the phone towards him. He went to move closer but I put my hand out. "Don't you dare come near me, I asked you a question." I stated with anger coursing through my voice. "About 8 months," he said staring at the floor. I launched his phone across the room and it smashed against the wall next to his head. I stormed out of the bedroom and down to the living room. "Betty I'm sorry..." he began and I laughed. "What if I had been pregnant Archie? I guess it's a good job I went back on the pill." I stated. "You went back on the pill?" He questioned. "You were never here, you were always touring and fucking some other girl apparently. I didn't want to raise a baby on my own." I yelled and he stared at me. "You're a selfish bitch." He snapped as he moved towards me. "Fuck you Archie! The wedding is off! We're done! Get out of my fucking house!" I screamed before marching up the stairs. I flung open the wardrobe and ripped all of his clothes from the hangers. I threw them down the stairs and watched at he stared from the bottom. I emptied everything and stood at the top looking down at him once I had finished "now leave." I said quietly. "Really? You're going to chuck me out like this?" He asked and I walked down the stairs. I pulled my ring from my finger and placed it in his palm. "Don't contact me again." I told him.
