A Huntress and Her Dragon

Chapter 2 The Roars are actually heard.

(A day later back at the Candy Kingdom)

The test had finally been done with

"Alright give it ta me straight, What's up?" Finn asked.

"It's too early to tell any long term effects, But for now the rewrite of DNA is already taking its effect on your bod."

"Like what?" Finn asked slightly annoyed of the princess's almost avoidance to tell him his condition.

"Surprisingly mostly good things with minimal downsides. Odds are you'll eventually suffer a bad case of the aches but after they're done you should be much stronger than before."

"How strong are we talkin' here?"

"Hard to say but it's certain that you'll be able to pull feets of speed, strength, and durability beyond anything you were previously capable of."

"WOAH!!!" Finn said in ah imagining himself as a bulky hero.

"Though, it is strange that my system can't recognize the DNA. It's definitely not human but I can't quite tell what."

She pondered for a moment before looking at Finn.

"Hold on a moment." She said before going to another room. A large amount of sounds could be heard from the other room before the princess walked out with a futuristic black sword with vials attached to the hilt.

She handed the sword to him. "Here, this will collect the DNA of things you kill with it and send the data back to me."

"No prob bob," Finn said leaping off happily

(Time skip brought to you by a chibi, normal, Finn chasing after his hat that's been blown to the wind)

The brothers killed another monster, the sword beeped.

"Finn I'm glad you're okay but..." Finn looked at his brother seeing dark bags under his eyes.

"Can we give it a rest we've been at this for twelve hours straight!?"

"Oh sorry, man. I guess we've been at it long enough." Finn said sheathing his new sword.

On they're way back to the treehouse, a huge beast lurched out of the bushes but ignored Finn and Jake. The two readied for battle with the beast dropped to the floor revealing several burning arrows.

Finn recognized the arrows.

And sure enough The Dryad walked through the pushes and with a flick of her wrist the arrows ceased to burn and they all retreated back to her quiver. She looked over and saw the two.

"Oh, hey." She said nonchalantly. Then walking to the front of the monster she took out a knife, whispering something to the blade burst into flames.

She cut off the creatures head off.

"Hey, HW.", Finn said first. He took out his sword and placed the blade against the wounds. The blade absorbed the blood and drained it before beeping implying that the DNA had been sent to PB.

"What's that?" The huntress asked.

"It a new sword Princess Bubblegum made to collect the blood of new monsters," Jake answered.

"Why?"

"She can't tell what up with my new arm so we're trying every blood for a match," Finn said waving his new arm.

Huntress Wizards eyes widened. She grabbed Finn's arm.

"Huh, that's neat."

"Welp see ya." She said taking the head than going to do her own thing.

Deeper in the forest there was a clearing in front of a cliff were an altar of skull ranging from simple small woodland creatures to full blown monsters, all on top of a magic circle. Huntress wizard placed the newest skull in the middle of the altar. She looked up to the night sky it was three days before the full moon.

"Not a moment too soon." The spirit of the forest said appearing behind the Dryad.
