Chapter 2

I wake up to my body feeling very sore, I try to stretch out my arms and legs but I can't. The space is too small and it's pitch black in here so I can't see what the hell is preventing me from moving around freely then I hear a door open

"He's in here?" A deep voice asks

" Yeah we had to lock him up because as you can see from my injuries, he was putting up too much of a fight. Don't tell anybody that I said this but he's one hell of a strong kid for one so young," A slightly higher pitched voice responds then a dim light fills the room

"How old is said child?" The first voice asks

" ...6," The other responds after a second of hesitation

" Six! You've got to be kidding me a six-year-old did that to you?!" The first one asks in shock

" Yeah, anyways he's over there," The second one sighs, and then I hear footsteps approach the box or whatever I'm in. Wait I just remembered... this is a memory from when I was 6 years old I must be dreaming about it. I better wake up soon before I have to relive through this horrid memory.

Wake up! wake up! Damn you Rei wake up! I yell at myself mentally but it's not working. I don't want to go through this again, I try to concentrate on waking up but I'm interrupted by a light flashing in my eyes. I cover my eyes with my arm.

"Oops sorry, a little too bright for you fella?" The first one asks and sets down his light and I see that I'm in a cage I can also see what this guy looks like he has dark brown hair and eyes. He's on his knees beside my cage so I can't see how tall he is. I nod my head responding to his question

" Well your eyes will get used to it," He laughs

"Who are you?" I ask

" I'm here to help unlike those mean guys," He tells me, he seems like a nice man

" What's your name?" I ask

" David, what's yours?" He asks

"Rei," I tell him

" Listen I heard that you were getting beat up earlier so I bought some medicine for you," He tells me setting down a box

"What's that?" I ask pointing at the box

" It's my first aid kit, you see I'm a doctor and I've been told that I have to keep you alive," He tells me opening the kit and fiddling with some things from it

" But why? I thought that the Scary man wanted to kill me," I say

"The Scary man? Is that what you call the man who hurts you?" He asks me

"Yeah," I respond

"Can I see your arm?" He asks, I stick it out of the cage for him

" Okay, but what are you gonna do with it?" I ask

"You see this?" He says holding up some weird looking pointy object I nod my head " It's filled with a liquid that will make it so your arm goes numb," He explains

"Okay, but why does my arm need to go numb?" I ask as he brings it near my arm

"It might hurt a little bit," He says before poking it into my skin I wince, then it hurts a bit more as I feel something enter my arm then he takes the pointy thing out of my arm.

"I'm sleepy," I say as I start falling forwards

"I'm sorry Rei," David says before I black out.

Shit! Wake up! wake up! wake up! wake up! I scream hysterically at myself  but still, I don't wake
