First day of school. Your new school. The thought of it made you nervous. You always tend to say weird things or embarrass yourself when you're nervous, in which made you feel even more nervous and uncomfortable.

You snapped out of your thoughts when you saw the huge building in front of you from the car window. This wasn't going to be an easy first day of school, you thought as your older brother stopped the car. You shot him a quick look telling him you were nervous. "It's going to be fine!" He said as you jumped out of the car. "Mhm.." you replied and shut the door. He smiled and you watched him as he drove off until you could barely see his car.

Deep breaths, you thought and walked up to the front doors together with hundreds of other students, maybe not hundreds but so it felt.

You found your locker after having to ask a few other students. They greeted you well and were all willing to help you which made you feel less uncomfortable. You shoved your books in the locker and closed it looking at the paper you were given with your classes. First off: Math.
Not the best start of the day but you could bare with it.

You made your way to the classroom and took a seat in the front, since they were the only seats left. The teacher came in to the room exactly on time, put his books and a cup of coffee on his desk. "Good morning class!" He said as he wrote "algebra" on the board. He then turned around and made eye contact with you. "Right!" He exclaimed. "We have a new student with us today, Allison please tell us a little but by yourself". You didn't really know what to say more than "um, hello, my name is Allison and I'm from New York. My dad decided to move here to get a new job and start a new life after my mom passed last year." It hurt to say the last words but you continued to speak. "Now I'm here at this new school and hopefully I can start something new here too." A slight smile crossed your face and you sat down and leaned back in your seat. "Thank you Allison, it's nice to have you here with us." He said and turned around to the board again. "Sorry, I didn't catch your name Mr...?" "Rogers, Mr. Rogers." He said. You took your pencil and a notebook from your bag and started to write down, taking notes of what Mr. Rogers said. He was a very great teacher you thought as you walked out of class. He actually made math kind of interesting.

Time went by and you finished all the classes for the day. You walked over to your locker to get your stuff before you went back home when you felt someone tap lightly on your shoulder. You turned around to see a tall but gorgeous looking boy stand in front of you. "You're new here, aren't you?" He asked. "Y-yes." Was all you could say. He smiled and asked for your name. "I'm Allison" you said. "And you? What's your name?" You asked, still a little bit shy. "Grayson." He said. Grayson, you thought. "Nice name." You said after a short while tasting his name. He chuckled and helped you with your books. "Are you sure you need all those?" He asked politely pointing at your books. "Um, yeah." You replied. You didn't say much more but he followed you out and said goodbye.

You couldn't stop thinking about his beautiful hazel eyes as you looked out the car window on your way home. "How was first day at school?" Your dad cut you off in your daydreaming. "Good, I really like it here already" you said. "Nice to hear that sweetheart." Dad said with a smile. It made you smile too, and even more when you thought about Grayson.
