 "Ma'am we have him in our custody."

The man before her cowered in fear of her wrath. He knelt at the bottom of the metal throne. The women above him gently set her cup down. Her red lipstick had stained the sides of the wine glass. She claps her hands signaling for one of the scurry maids to refill it. The trembling maid rushed up to her and quickly poured more wine into the empty glass, avoiding the boss's gaze.  

"Good. Send him in," Her voice rang out, short and clipped, "I have some... business with him."

He knew what the word business meant and was glad her business didn't involve him.

"Yes, Ma'am." The man said letting out a silent breath. He'd feared for the safety of his family and himself. The satisfaction of a job well done weighing him down.  

He bowed low to her and hurriedly left the dark room of black and silver.
