Homecoming Night
May and Peter had rushed to Nora's door to show her Peter's finished look for his night with Liz Allen. The door opened and they were invited in by Happy.
"Mr. Hogan! Hi, it's so good to see you again. How are you- oh and how is Mr. Stark?" Aunt May asked.
"Please, call me Happy, and i'm doing very well. Mr. Stark is great too. Just out of town handling business as usual." Happy smiled admiring May as peter watched in disgust.
"I heard he's got a giant surprise to show the world soon, i can only imagine what it is.." Aunt May looked up hopefully.
Happy and Peter quickly glared at eachother with wide eyes.
"May i use the restroom?" May asked.
"Yes, on the left." Happy smiled.
They smiled until May had shut the bathroom door.
"Paker, you didn't tell your aunt about Nora, did you?!" Happy whisper yelled.
"No- no no no. I would never. She probably heard that on the news.. you know, where they keep tabs all the time.." peter said.
Nora walked out of her room and closed it, taking a breath before looking at peter who stood across the room in a tux. A look she'd never seen before, but made her want to see him that way more often.
Peter held a smile as she emerged from the dark hallway dressed in one of his own long sleeved shirts and some sweat pants.
"You look great Peter." She smiled.
"Uh- thank you Nora. You look great too." He said.
Happy rolled his eyes, and if he could roll them even farther he'd probably do it.
"What do you think?" Aunt May asked placing a hand on her shoulder.
"I think he looks wonderful." Nora said smiling at May.
"Why aren't you all dressed up honey?" She asked Nora.
"I-uh.. i'm working tonight. Moving stuff and guard duty— haha" she chuckled.
"Well don't work too hard tonight. Peter and i want you over for dinner tomorrow night and we'll be all dressed up so wear your best dress." May smiled.
"Oh- and i forgot to ask before, Happy?" She asked.
"Yes Miss Parker?" Answered.
"How come you're here and not with Mr. Stark?" She asked.
"I uh—"
"Oh-ah— Mr. Stark needed a pair of extra hands that's what my job is for tonight. Volunteer work, and he had Happy stay behind to help too." Nora saved.
Happy took a breath.
"Oh how fun! Well if he needs peter, i'd be happy to let him go." May smiled.
"Ohh we'll be fine, besides, peter's got a date with his best girl. Have fun tonight peter.." Nora stuck a hand up stiffly to say goodbye, and Happy shut the door behind them.
