My body pressed against him. His heart beat was loud and fast. His body shook with fright. “Dylan, please.” I screamed as he moved his body back. He grabbed my chin so we were looking deeply into each other eyes. “Dylan, I love you. Please don’t go.” My heart dropped as his light gray eyes starred into my eyes. His face covered in cuts and blood. His brown hair brushed across his face. His black shirt ripped at the shoulder blade and other cut on the side of his body. The sounds of screams and yelling fell behind us, as others were saying goodbye to their loved ones. Maybe this was going to be the end of everything. Girls ran past us their eyes red and tears rushing down their face. “You can’t just leave me. After everything. Come with me. We can run away forever no one could ever find us. It could just be us. Just like we wanted it to be, but if you go we can’t.”

He turned his body and began walking off. I grabbed his arm and swung him towards me. “Alex stop.” His eyes filled with tears. “I would rather have you alive than me come with you and risk your life. Riya’s life.” I nodded my head no. “Yes Alex.” I grabbed his body and hugged him. “Please, Alex you have to go run away and get to the plane before they leave you. Take care of Riya, of your mom.” He kissed me on the cheek and walked off.

A little girl ran over to him and began screaming. I ran over and saw it was Riya. I grabbed her wrist and began tugging her. “Riya we have to go.” I looked over at Dylan as tears formed into my eyes I gave a soft whisper. “I love you.”

We began walking off. Riya began to push me off and screaming. “No!” She screamed. “No, Dylan. Alex let me go.” I picked her up, threw her over my shoulder, and walked across the hill. I saw my mom standing in line to get onto the plane. I ran over to my mom. She stood in line closer the back. I slammed Riya’s body against my mom’s body, and fell to the floor. My life was torn apart my life was dead. My life…. over. I began rocking back and forth like what he used to do to me when I was sad. When I knew nothing in the world would go right. He gave me faith and love.

“Alex we have to go.” My mom reached out her hand. I took and she lifted me up. We walked onto the plane and sat down. I found the farthest seat away from everyone. I sat down and slammed my head between my knees. Tears rushed from my eyes and poured onto the floor. “Alex.” My mom sat down and rubbed my back. “You’ll see him again. Yes everything seems like it is going wrong but everyone here is feeling what you are feeling. You just have to have faith that you will see him again.”

“We have a message from the head of the industry.” A man voice fell over the speaker phone. His voice caught. “No survivors.” I lifted my head to listen a little more. “We will be landing in ten hours. I am sorry for your loss.”

I looked at my mom in fright in heart break. “Mom, he’s gone.” I began shaking my head. “Mom.” The tears couldn’t stop sliding down my face. “He’s gone.”
