“You can kill me. I don’t care.” Dylan’s body on the floor, his arms tied behind his back. His shirt torn off, and blood falling down from each cut. “Just leave the women alone.” He looked up at the man.
“Why do you think we would go after the girls? I got what I wanted.” He flung out his whip and flung it against his back. He screamed, as tears fell down his face. “Grab him.” A large man grabbed Dylan and pulled him up. Blood dripped down onto the floor, and his back bright red. His face had red eyes, and tears ran down his face. They pushed him down into a hall. The hall was all metal with hundreds of doors on each side of the walls. They pushed him down the left side of the room, and slammed him against the wall. They opened the door, and pushed him inside. There was a cage at the very back of the room, and a table in the middle. The table was made with metal just like the rest of the room. There was blades of different sizes hanging on the right side of the wall, and a chain saw sitting next to the table. There were blood stains still on the table, and on the floor. Dylan was pushed inside and he fell to the floor. They untied his knots and he ran to the back. The man pointed into the cage and he walked in. His face looked sad and scared. He held onto the bars and just looked. Looked at what his life was going to consist of. Being a lab rat.
I opened my eyes to the blue sky above me. A cloud covered the bright sun. I rolled over and saw Lana sitting next to me. She was still asleep. “Lana.” I shook her. “Lana.”
She rolled over and looked at me, “what?” She rubbed her eyes and sat up.
“We need to start looking. For Nia and Riya.” I stood up all the way and reached out my hand. She took it and stood up. She stretched out her back, and we walked out of the soccer field connected to the school. We walked around the corner and onto the main street. We walked down for about two miles when we finally hit a gas station. “I’m starved.” I said rubbing my belly.
“Me too.” She looked at me. “Do you think we should steal some food?”
I looked over at her. “Are you kidding me?” I looked at her confused. “We could never do that.”
“It’s the only way to get some food. You and I are both starving and we don’t even know how long this is going to take. It could take months for all we know. We need to get food sooner or later. We need to worry about ourselves first before we can worry about our sisters.” She walked over to the door. “Are you in?”
“I guess.” I walked over to her. “What’s the plan?”
Lana looked over at me. “Distract the clerk. I got everything else.”
