It was morning time again, and NIKS sat up on her bed, stretching out. She tilted her neck both ways, making satisfying cracking noises. NIKS slowly sunk back into her bed until she realized something. She looked to her left, where she saw Tord sitting in a chair, staring at her. NIKS jumped in surprise.

"Ah! Tord, you scared me!"

"Haha, sorry. I didn't want to bother you, and after a while I got a bit bored. There wasn't much to do, so I just sat here waiting for you to wake up."

"Makes sense...? Anyway, I almost forgot to say good morning."

"Is that something humans do? Say 'good night' and 'good morning?'"

"Yeah. I don't really get it, either. I think we're just saying it's going to be a good night/day. And let me tell ya, I did get a good night's sleep for once."

NIKS stretched a bit once more, feeling relaxed. She never wanted to leave her pink and comfy bed. She shifted to the left and hugged a pillow, looking at Tord.

"What do you want to do today?"

"I don't know, whatever you want, I guess."

"Well, I do have an idea..." NIKS smirked.

"Yeah?"

"I'll sleep more. Seeya" NIKS violently slammed herself into bed, pulling the covers over her head. Tord tried and shook NIKS, grabbing her by the shoulders.

"Come on! You can't leave me here! There's nothing to do!" Tord kept trying to get NIKS to wake up, but to no avail. He sighed in defeat and plopped back onto his chair, pouting. Then NIKS started snoring. Great, now she was really asleep.

Tord got up and paced around the room, bored. He decided to look around a bit and get familiar with human objects, for a change. He walked over to NIKS' dresser, which had a few objects cluttered on it. He picked up a random object from the pile. He examined the small object in his hands. It had bristles on one side, and the other side was completely smooth. The smooth side was extended into a skinny stick, where you'd be able to hold it. Tord thought it might be a good idea to brush it against his hand. Bad idea. It didn't hurt, but felt strange. He put the brush back where it belonged and searched a bit more.

Huzzah! Behold, a stick! Well, a small stick. It had a plastic cover on top, the bottom was a smooth purple. He removed the plastic covering, revealing another stick! Wow! The stick was a light pink, it had a weird edge to it. Tord rubbed it against his hand, leaving pink streaks on it. Tord was genuinely amazed. He'd never seen anything like it in the Angel Realm. Tord left the lipstick back on the dresser, picking up things on the way and seeing (kinda) how they work.

At some point, he found some gloves. He had seen some before, but these lacked fingers. They were made out of leather and had gold studs on the back. They looked small, but could still probably fit NIKS' hands. He felt the material, it was mostly soft. Tord kept rubbing his thumbs on the gloves when a loud noise filled the room. Tord jumped, almost dropping the gloves. NIKS shifted in bed, trying to grab her phone from the nightstand near her bed. She finally grasped in off the alarm that went off.

"Hiya..." NIKS stretched like last time, sitting up again. After rubbing the sleep from her eyes, NIKS saw Tord with her gloves.

"Uh..."

"S-Sorry! I was just looking around and seeing how things work!" Tord raised his arms in defense, still clutching the gloves in each hand.

NIKS sighed, "Don't worry, it's fine. But, you shouldn't go snooping around other people's stuff. They might be hiding something you don't wanna see!" NIKS pulled off her covers and got out of bed, moving towards her closet.

"O-Ok." Tord replied, putting the gloves back on the dresser. His eyes glanced around the room as NIKS picked an outfit.

"Aren't you gonna change?"

"Huh?"

"I mean, are you gonna change your clothes?"

"Why?"

NIKS tapped her chin. "I mean, I guess you don't have to."

Tord was confused. NIKS explained that people usually change their clothes everyday. Tord still couldn't grasp the concept.

"Okay, I changed right before going to bed, right?"

"Right."

"It's because I wanted to be comfortable when I slept. Now I'm going to change again, because I want to look okay going out in public."

"But you look fine!" Tord said, looking at NIKS' pajamas. She had a light pink tank top (with really small straps) and short shorts. NIKS shook her head.

"N-No, I'm showing way too much skin. I'm not comfortable going out like this, so I'm changing my outfit."

"So it's about comfort?"

"Most of the time," NIKS talked while she kept browsing her clothes, "Some people wear clothes to show how rich they are, or to look nice, or to impress people. Later on, I'll tell you about a special type of dressing up called cosplay."

NIKS smiled at the word cosplay. It was one of her favorite things to do, even though she barely had money for it. She loved seeing people cosplay as her favorite characters, especially when they can mimic the character's voice, too. It just brings them to life!

"Cosplay?"

"Yeah, I'll explain later. I have to change right now."

"Okay."

Tord left the room, closing the door behind him. After a while, NIKS stepped out of her room in a different outfit.

"You didn't change after all?"

"Nah. I might change later."

"Alright. I forgot another reason why we change is because our clothes get dirty, like with rain or dirt."

"Right. So where are we going?" Tord asked as he and NIKS approached the front door, getting her keys and opening the lock.

"I think we can just go for a drive."

Tord paused. "A drive?"

"Yeah, it's where you take your car and just, drive. You don't have to have a destination, as long as it's fun or relaxing. Some people do it in their spare time. Besides, today's Saturday, so I don't have anything else to do."

"Alright. And what was that noise that your device made?" Tord pointed to NIKS' phone, which was sticking out of her pants pocket.

"You mean my phone alarm? Oh, I used to have it on everyday since I needed to visit my... aunt..." NIKS paused and her head and shoulders sunk. She had almost forgotten about her aunt dying. How could she forget so easily? Tears started forming in her eyes from the memories and realization.

"Uh..." Tord awkwardly stared. "Are... Are you okay, Nikki?"

"Wha?" NIKS snapped out of her thoughts, sniffling. "Sorry, I got lost in thought. Let's get going."

NIKS got her phone out and turned of the alarm so it wouldn't sound anymore. She unlocked the door and waited until Tord walked out to close it behind her.
