Is this what it feels to be dead?
If it is, I guess it's better than being alive.
I can't remember how I got into this sittuation. I don't even remember who I am.
Pain suddenly filled my head. My eyes slowly opened, light blinded my sleepy sight. Oh boy. I wish I could lie down and pretend I'm dead again.
I carefully got up with help of a broken branch. My legs were weak, they trembled under my body's weight. I observed the landscape; it was a sunny day, maybe of july, given the hot temperature. The only thing I saw was trees. Of all sizes and colours, some I didn't even recognise.
While cleaning my jeans covered in dirt, I noticed a lump inside my left pocket.
It was some kind of card.
Kira Andrews, 15, it red. A photo of a blonde girl with light brown eyes appeared on the corner.
At least now I knew who and how old I was.
The card looked like an ID. But strange simbol under my name made me guess it was a key for something.
I looked around the spot where I woke up for a bag or something. But only found leaves and mud.
I sighed. What now?, I asked myself.
Two hours walking had never felt so tiring. I somehow remembered I was the clumsiest of my grade back at school.
School. It seems it happened ages ago. Kira. What kind of girl was she? I hope that memories come back soon.
As I sat down on a rock to rest, a loud scream broke the forest's silence.
I froze, waiting for the sound to repeat. Some secons later, the voice shouted for help again.
This time I got up inmediatly and followed the screams. It took me a couple of minutes to reach the person who was shouting.
She was unexpectedly hanging from a tree.
A rope around her ankle tied on a high branch. She was certainly not happy to be upside down.
'Hey you', said the stranger pointing in my direction. 'Would you mind helping me?', 'I don't think I can break free by myself'
Without saying a word as response, I tried to untie the rope. It was roughly attached.
'What's taking so long blondie?', 'It's too difficult, I can't...', I said taking a look at my red hands.
'Knife', said the girl, 'I remember there was one in my bag, take it and try cutting this fucking rope, my head is flooded with blood'.
A few meters away I found a green backpack, and inside an old knife. I wondered why I didn't have one. It would help my confidence.
I started cutting, and instantly, I heard the girl's body falling onto the ground. I held the knife tightly waiting for her to attack me.
When she turned to face me, her mouth blew open and she raised her hands with worried face. 'What the hell?!?!'
I lowered the weapon. 'Sorry for that, I'm a little shaken up', I said trying to fix my mistake.
The girl got closer to me, snapped the knife out of my hands and threw it into the woods. 'Are you mad?!?!', I screamed. She laughed, 'Not more than you are', 'remember pointing at my face with that pointy little thing?'.
I blushed. Why in the world had I done such a stupid thing, now she would obviously not trust me.
'Sorry again...', 'I guess this isn't a very good beginning as friends...'
She smiled, 'my name is Alexandra', 'but I prefer Alex, it sounds less fancy'.
My new "friend"(if you can call her that), looked just like an actress I remember seeing on TV. Her dark eyes made a beautiful contrast with her toffee coloured skin. Messy brown curls reached her shounders tied up in two pigtails.'Kira', I said stretching her hand. 'I know we haven't started off with good feet, but something in my gut tells me we're gonna like each other'
Alex shook my hand and giggled, 'I hope so miss serial killer', she laughed harder.
A shiver ran down my spine. Those words made me feel strange.-All wattpad stories have like coments at the end of each chapter, so I'll try thinking of things to say. Well, to start off as my first story, I think it's developing nicely.
Idk what else to sayjajja... Kira and Alex are both on the cover, soon I'll introduce the rest of the characters and explain the plot. Hope you enjoy it;)-
