Let's just say that when your a mutant, life is never easy. You're constantly challenged both mentally and physically, to test if you can sustain the burden placed on your shoulders, to wield the power you have been given. For Little Erik Lehnsherr, that is exactly the case. After losing his beloved mother to psychopath-doctor Sebastian Shaw, Erik has never been the same boy. Every day is spent mourning over distant loss and pain of the unknown. Charles Xavier, however, is your care-free, fun-loving, all round genuine boy, living in quite a wealthy lifestyle and being the proud, metaphorical owner of the soon-to-be X-Mansion, there is not much he needs to worry about. It was a cold, September morning, the air was brisk and unforgiving, with all the traits of an unwanted relative, Charles had just fortunetly woken up, giving a light stretch and yawn to greet the day. He then made his way down the decrepit stairwell, towards the kitchen, grabbing himself a bowl and a cereal box, as well as milk from the fridge, it was dreary outside, the clouds blocking off the little bit of sun that ever managed to break through. Erik was much less fortunate, having no parents to guide him or to help, he was forced to stay in a little motel just outside of town, barely having enough money to do so. Lehnsherr was determined, which was basically the only thing that kept him going, after waking up around the same time to Charles, he got dressed and immediately headed out into the town, which was a mile or two away from the mansion. After eating a rather unsatisfying breakfast, Charles proceeded back up the stairs to dress, greeting Raven with a hearty good-morning, followed with a "You look like you were dragged through a bush" joke, which seemed displeasing to Raven's eyes, but Charles laughed all the same. Pulling on a pair of dark blue jeans and a loose-grey t-shirt, Charles pushed open the large front doors to his home, immediately taking in a breath of fresh air, which was not all-that fresh. Erik gave a distasteful look towards practically everyone. Scarred by his past, broken and torn, it made him sustain a growing hatred for the Neanderthals. Never the less, he had to keep a low profile, even if the occasional desire to crush a certain provoking human came across him, he was forced to restrain himself, continuing his brisk steps through the busy streets of this not-perfect Saturday morning. Walking at a steady and even pace, Charles was rather content, studying the beautiful landscape that he had the privilege to call home, Raven soon followed behind, almost jogging to keep up with him, currently in her blue form, she was perfectly happy with being herself around Charles, one of the many reasons that they were close friends. Erik didn't have friends, well.. Clearly. He would never trust someone long enough to gain a true relationship, heck, it was hard for him to go through a day without shooting someone. As the morning turned into afternoon, a glimpse of sun-rays began to break through the cloud's wall, shining upon the busy streets and especially so around Charles and Raven, it was a certain perk the to day that was certainly needed, it lifted the spirits of many, not by much, but slightly. Charles and Raven had now taken a seat in a particularly pleasing patch of grass, which was not as wet as the rest from the storm the night before, both of them seemingly content, Raven resting her head just under Charles' chin, closing her eyes to enjoy the warm breeze. Erik on the other hand rather hated the sun, he preferred the cold, much more of an overview of his entire life, reflected through the weather, which was why everywhere he went was miserable and dark, but not today, today was different.
