Erik seemed to be rather fond of this Charles character, he was nice enough, as professor's go. Remembering Charles' splendid directions, he managed to find his room, opening the door and looking inside. The room was nothing overly impressive or special, quite bland actually, the walls were painted a warm blue colour, and the carpet was a shade of purple, contrasting rather well, there was a small tv on the wall as well as a double bed in the corner of the room, accompanied by a basic set of drawers. "Mm. Rather basic, but it will do." Erik mutters to himself, looking around his new aboad, taking in the detail, before sitting on the bed to check the softness was to his liking and it was. He also had a rather pleasant view of the front pathway to the mansion, out looking the field he was in earlier. Meanwhile, downstairs, Raven had finished the tea and brought it into the lounge, placing the tray down on the coffee table, looking to Charles. "Where did your friend go?" Charles glanced up to her from a book he had conveniently started reading. "He is checking out his room." As Charles spoke, Erik appeared in the doorway, moving back next to Charles on the couch. "Talk of the devil." Charles laughed, watching Erik before placing his book down, motioning towards the tray. "Tea is ready if you want any." Erik nodded and glanced to the tray then back to the professor. "Do you play chess?" Erik suddenly asked out of no where, forced to play mere wooden board games growing up, Charles gave a nod and smiled, pointing to the drawer in the corner. "There is a board in there if you want to play." Raven smiled gently and decided to leave the boys to their game, heading out of the room and up the stairs, Erik walked over and scoured the drawer for the board and pieces, he then placed the board on the table. "What colour would you like to be then?" Charles looked up at Erik as he questioned. Erik grinned and shook the bag, sprawling the pieces along the board, reading to be placed. "Black, definetly."
