Erik was utterly shocked as he entered the vast entry to the mansion, taken back by the beautiful artestry. A staircase dominated most of the room - clearly the most noticeable thing when you first walk in, the floor and button half of the walls were a gorgeous, majestic, hazel coloured wood, of which was full of engravings, masterfully handcrafted into the tender walls, the upper level of wall was a pale grey colour, however dull it may have seemed, it worked. There was a series of hallways that expanded to the left and right of the staircase, as well as one straight ahead, clearly leading to the kitchen. Raven nodded to the two boys before leaving to make the threesome some tea, whilst Erik and Charles headed through one of the corridors to the right, to the main lounge which was just as expertly configured as the entrance. The walls were a much more cheerful light green shade, and the carpet was a dark brown, heavy colour, it contrasted surprisingly well. Most of this room of overlooked with bookshelf upon bookshelf, physically presenting Charles' love for written pieces, there were a hundred- no, a thousand books, stretching as far as the eye could see around the room, in the centre of which was a small coffee table, accompanied by a leather interior couch. "You didn't live with much hardships, did you, Charles?" Erik stated rather humorously but also seriously. Charles gave a gentle but remorseful laugh. "I suppose not." Erik ran a finger along the interior before going to sit. "Woah! Watch the book!" Charles called and lunged forwards, snatching up the book by the cover, sighing in relief, before obsessively bookmarking his page, should he lose it, and placing the book back on the shelve, off which there was a space. Erik watched with slight amusement. "Are you quite done having a heart attack, Charles?" Erik smiled lightly and connected with couch before he was interrupted earlier. "Yes, yes I am." Charles took a seat next to the newcomer, making sure to maintain a suitable distance between them. "Erik, when I reached into your mind before, I saw some truly astonishing memories, you have been through much more than I could ever imagine possible, and for that, I have moral respect for you, but I am curious, so please tell me, what exactly is your mutation?" Charles attempted not to seem to eager, even if that was exactly his intention. Erik gave a light chuckle that soon faded into a frown, he glanced over to the coffee table, on top of which was a small pile of coins. Absentmindedly lifting a hand, Erik willed the coins to float, and, as if by magic, they did, hovering gently on the air. Erik then made a pulling gesture with his hand, and the coins floated towards them, hovering gently over his palm. Charles watched the scene unfold, like a young child observing a magic trick, his eyes full of intent. "That is truly amazing, I bet that comes in handy." He glanced back to Erik's face, who was now placing the coins back down. "Yes, Charles, I suppose it is." He gave a soft, barely noticeable smile, glancing back to the Professor with intent. "So, you would really let me stay here? I mean.. We have only just met, you have no idea who I am.. Or.. What I am.. Or.. Or.." Erik was cut off with Charles lifting his hand dismissively, he then spoke back to Erik. "All I need to know is that your a fellow mutant and you need my help, that's all." He offered a light smile in which Erik returned. "You can have the room next to mine, up the stairs, second door to the left, mine is the first." Charles pointed to the staircase. "Go take a look, I think you will like it." Erik gave a small nod and stood up, thanking Charles once again before leaving the room, after that, all that remained was Charles, staring at the coins on the table.
