I see Adrian, with his fangs deep inside Nicole's neck, sucking blood. I freeze in shock! I try to scream but I can't... This can't be real!! Nononono.. Vampires are just a myth but. I finally let out a scream which makes them aware of my presence in the room. Nicole gets up and Adrian puts a drop of his blood on her wound and it disappears. She smiles at him and comes towards me in full angry mode. I try to run but in a flash Adrian is by my side blocking my exit. Nicole shouts at me. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? " i look at them in complete shock.. "I... Are... Ohmygod... Are you?" "Yes Eleanor, I'm a vampire, " Adrian says with a monotone voice. I look, no I stare at him, this can't be... No.. Wait, "So it means, Vampires do exist and you happen to be one?" He nods his head as a yes. I'm still finding it difficult to believe.. "I'll tell you everything. But first of all, you need to stop panicking. No one's gonna hurt you." I don't say anything but stop panicking. He smiles and gestures Nicole to go out. She obliques and leaves. Adrian sighs. "As you know, I'm a vampire. Infact, I'm not the only one. There are thousands out in New York only. We've been living here for centuries now. So, the choice is yours. Do you want to forget everything or just go along? Cuz I can erase your memory, if you like". I shake my head no. "I want to know more. Please". "OK. If that's what you want. I have to go to Priya's fashion hub for a meeting. Will you accompany?" "Priya! As in Priya Lacroix?!! Is she a vampire?!! " He laughs a bit. "Yes she is". "I would love to come but Im not dressed exactly to go to Priya Lacroix's show! " "Don't worry about it. I have some samples of her new dresses. Wear one of them". I smile really wide and nod. I choose a red one. It's so beautiful! I feel like a model!

I go out and see Adrian wearing a suit, looking professional as usual. "Well, let's go". As we walk in the streets of New York, I decide to get more info about vampires. "um, Adrian, if you don't mind, can I ask some questions?" "Of course you can. I understand, you must be curious". "OK, Can you fly? " He laughs. "No and I can't change into a bat either". " Do you have super strength?" He nods. "Yes, if lifting a car with one hand is super strength, then yes". "Does sunlight hurt you?" "Yes it does". An emotion of sadness crosses his features. "You miss it don't you". "What? " "Being a human, walking in sunlight, being normal". He smiles at the memory. "I do". "Can you eat garlic?" "No, it hurts". "How many vampires are there? " "There are around 10000 in New York. They're divided into clans. I own one of them. There are certain clanless too". I listen carefully and by the time he finishes, we reach the Lacroix Fashion Hub. "OK so, I'm going to meet her, you stay in this area. Do not wander around. OK? " "Ok". He goes in. Meanwhile I enjoy the show. After sometime, he comes out with Priya following him. She looks at me and laughs. "Your blood smells tasty". Adrian comes between us. "No Priya, not her". She nods but gives me a sinister smile.
Adrian and I leave the hub. "She is so pretty yet dangerous". "She is pretty dangerous", Adrian says making us both laugh. While walking towards the apartment we hear a scream. And I wish I wouldn't have seen that. An ugly creature was feeding off an old lady. She was crying for help but he wasn't stopping. Adrian pushes me away before lunging at the creature. It had red eyes. After a long fight Adrian kills it. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? " I ask. "That was a feral. These creatures are responsible for the recent disappearances in the city". "But what are they? " "They're clanless vampires who turn into this due to lack of Seal protection. Nowadays, someone has been turning people and leaving them to become ferals". I sigh and he drops me at my home. But as soon as I enter the apartment, the world around me comes shattering down.....
