Being a wolf is amazing, the feeling of freedom when you run is exhilarating. After two years of torture and captivity being a wolf is the only thing that keeps me going.

The strength.

The freedom...

- You need to go clean the dining room. Alpha is expecting guests tonight.- Martha reminded me.

I nodded and got to work.

Yes, I'm not 100% free here, but I don't have where else to go and I don't mind work, I never did. It kinda helps actually, helps me not to think.

It took me about an hour to get everything ready for the dinner for six people: Alpha, Beta, Third in command, and three guests from the other pack.

- Hey.- I heard a familiar voice behind me.

It was Beta Tim the man who interrogated me when I first got here.

- Beta.- I bowed my head in respect.

Not that I respected him that much, but that's just something everyone does when they see Alpha or Beta.

- Everything's ready?- he asked.

I nodded.

- Great. Go get cleaned up. You'll be serving us tonight.

I nodded and left.

Two hours later the doorbell rang.

- Eve, go open the doors.- Martha asked.

- Okay.

I walked to the door and opened it.

- Diana!

In front of me stood my two best friends.

- Jane? Rose? What the hell are you doing here?- I asked as they pulled me in a group hug.

- You've got to be kidding me, Dia! We thought you're dead!- screamed Rose. (Picture above)

- Where have you been!- also screamed Jane.

-Who is she?- asked the guy that came with my friends

-Who is she?- asked the guy that came with my friends.

- I'm Evelin now. - I said.- And I don't think it's a good time to talk about all this. I'll explain later.- I pleaded once I smelled my mate.

They both looked at me with disapproval but nodded.

I don't want Alpha to know that I lied to him about my name and ask me more questions and I don't know what to tell my friends without telling them about werewolves.

- Welcome and please follow me to the dining room.- I said officially.

Once I turned around I saw my mate. I mean the Alpha standing and staring at me. I ignored the butterflies in my stomach, put on a poker face, and leaded everyone to the dining room where Beta Tim and Third of command Peter greeted them.

I quickly went to the kitchen.

I was having a slight panic attack. I can't believe my friends are here. Before the kidnapping we were inseparable. I was going home from a sleepover at Jane's when I was kidnapped. And know... Things have changed over two years. I have changed. I'm not the same cheerful, crazy lunatic I was before. Now I have this dark side that no one would understand. They wouldn't accept me because now I'm broken. Hell, I don't think they liked me much even before, I mean they didn't bother to come to my funeral.

- Eve, it's time to serve the dinner.- said, Martha.

I smiled at her and grabbed a couple of plates and went into the dining room.

- ... well now that you've found your mates girls you'll have to stay here.- I heard before I stepped into the room.

Inside I saw Jane sitting on Beta Tim's lap and Rose hugging Peter.

WHAT THE HELL! I was so surprised I almost dropped the plates. I left them in the room for two minutes...

This day is getting better and better.

Once I put the plates on the table everyone looked at me. Oh, I was interrupting...

I turned around to leave when someone grabbed my hand.

- Look ahh... Evelyn. I don't have the patience to wait any longer. Today is the happiest day of my life. I found my mate and found you so fuck the dinner, come here and greet me like a normal person!- said Jane with a huge smile on her face and hugged me. Rose quickly joined us in a group hug.

God, I missed her. Both of them.

Then I did something I haven't done for two years. I laughed.

- Okey! Jesus Christ... Hey guys. - I said still laughing.

Wait... Mates!

- Wait a minute... Don't you dare tell me you're werewolves and you hadn't told me!- I said glaring at them both.

- Ummm.. - they both looked down.

Not only they missed my funeral, but they also didn't tell me they were werewolves.

- What's going on here!- angrily interrupted my mate... I mean Alpha.

He starts to get on my nerves. Always so angry, always looks down on me...

Violence is bad. Violence is bad.
Violence is bad...
I keep reminding myself.

Rose loudly growled at him.

- Calm down Nick, they're old friends. Correct?- said Tim and hugged Jane again.

- Friends? No-no-no. We're Best friends. Team. Sisters. Soul mates. Family...- explained Rose.

- So dramatic...- I rolled my eyes. - Can we all just calm down, and get back to the dinner?- I said mostly to my girls.

They both nodded and I went to the kitchen to get the rest of the plates.

- Bon appétit.- I said as I put the last plate on the table in front of the Alpha.

I accidentally touched his hand which sent shivers down my body, I felt his muscles tense but I ignored it all and left the room.

I'm soo tired. All I want right now is to sleep.
