"Sam! You ready to go?" Dean yelled through the door, getting impatient as he had been trying to get Sam to reply for a solid 5 minutes. Why wasn't he answering?
Dean startled slightly as the door opened, and Sam shuffled past him towards the car. Dean looked on in confusion as he disappeared out of his sight, then turned to look at Sam's duffel, which was still slumped in the corner of his room near the door. He had just upped and left without it.
Sighing slightly, Dean picked up Sam's duffel before grabbing his own on the way back, vowing to figure out what was going on with his kid brother.
Sam was slumped against the door of the impala, eyes clenched tightly closed and whole body tensed as he waited for Dean.
"Sam." Dean tried for his attention, panicking slightly when Sam flinched at his voice, despite it not being very loud.
Sam hummed to let him know he'd heard him, but didn't move an inch, hands clenched into fists against his sides in discomfort.
"Sammy." Dean tried again, his voice softer this time, pleased when Sam didn't flinch at the sound. "What's happening?" He asked, hopeful.
"M fine, jus' drive." He slurred out as he unclenched his fists, with seemingly a lot of effort.
Dean looked at him, silently praying that whatever was going on would magically fix itself, but things never happened the way he wanted them to.

Sam's POV
I messed up. I let my pain show and now Dean is going to think I'm weak. How could I be so stupid? He has to rely on me to have his back but how could I have his back if I can't even handle a simple headache. Well, maybe it isn't so simple. Either way, Dean Winchester doesn't show weakness, so neither should I. I just hope I haven't blew it, maybe Dean will forget.

Dean's POV
I decide, once again, to just be quiet about this. I still want to believe that Sam will come clean about what's bothering him, even if I already have some sort of an idea about what it is. After all, we have to trust each other, not only as brothers, but also because of our line of work. If I don't have his back then he could get seriously hurt, it might be too late for that now though.
