"So."
I gulped and glanced up at Yoongi who was gazing quietly at the menu.
He had only responded as 'I'm Min Yoongi' and said 'It's nice to meet you as well' to me after I'd given him that humiliating introduction and now I was just praying that this blind date would end as soon as possible.
"What sorts of things do you like to eat?" He glanced up at me, arching a brow a little.
Crap, why did he have to be so handsome?
"Um..."
"Say you like to eat salted watermelon," Taehyung chuckled.
"I like to eat salted watermelon," the words dragged from my mouth.
"Say it like you mean it, Y/N!" Taehyung growled.
I definitely had never hated my brother more than this moment, even when he'd tripped me into a row of trashcans and I fell into a bin on my first day of school in high school, freshmen year.
"It's so good too," I forced a smile on my face. "Like the taste, um, yeah, mmmm."
Yoongi stared at me.
That was so not a good sign.
"What about you?" I wiped some sweat from my brow. "What do you like to eat?"
"Not salted watermelon."
Well screw you too Min Yoongi.
"I like to eat those lamb skewers from that corner shop by our school."
Same! Dammit, same.
"You can't tell him you like that too," Taehyung giggled, reading my thoughts even though he wasn't even there.
"What are you going to order?" Yoongi looked back down at the menu.
I took the chance to gaze at his beautiful, youthful face.
A face I'd often seen with his jaw set in determination, hair plastered to his forehead with sweat despite the bandana to keep it out of his face, and him controlling the ball down the court and taking three-pointer shots.
"Um..."
"For once, sister, I'll let you order whatever you want," Taehyung chuckled.
"I'll pay," Yoongi glanced up at me, offering a hint of a kind smile.
My heart tripped.
"On second thought, order the most expensive meal on the menu," Taehyung's voice held that stupid grin again.
I smacked down the menu a tad bit too hard and Yoongi instantly frowned at me, almost like impatience glimmering in his eyes.
"I-I'm sorry," my cheeks flushed. "I have to go to the bathroom. Please excuse me."
I clattered loudly away, clumsily, and by the time I reached the bathroom, I was a hot, fuming mess.
I slipped into a stall, slammed it shut, and double checked to make sure I was the only one in the bathroom before yelling into the earpiece. "Taehyung, what the fu-"
"Y/N get back into the restaurant," Taehyung laughed. "Your date is getting antsy."
"How the heck...can you see me?" I whispered, aghast.
"Oh yes, sister, of course I can."
"How?"
"Let's just say I hired a friend of mine to keep watch to ensure you're obeying me," Taehyung informed me arrogantly.
I hissed in frustration. "Taehyung, you piece of shi-"
"Now get out there and let's complete this date!" Taehyung crowed, cutting through my words smoothly.
