"Dad, I'm not wearing another suit. I'll just wear nice jeans and a nice T-shirt.", I argue, glaring up at my father. He groans and runs a hand over his face. "Why are you being so difficult?", he snarls. "To-be-Alpha or not, she's just a girl.", father throws his hands up. "Fine! So be it!", I stand straight and turn around, walking away without another word as he grumbles to himself.

In my room, I open my dresser and grab a pair of light blue jeans and in my wardrobe a pastel pink shirt. I slip on the shirt before pushing down on my pajama pants and replace them with the jeans. I grab a pair of white socks and slip them on before going to the bathroom to brush my teeth and perhaps my hair.

"Jack!", calls father. "One moment!", I call back, slipping on my shoes. I stand from the floor and grab my jacket, slipping it on as I descend the stairs. He hustles me out the door and approaches his brown stallion. He mounts it as I mount my blonde stallion. He nods to me and takes off, me close behind him.

After an hour, we slow to a trot, then a walk. I look around. This is the northern part of town, the area I usually never go to. Father talks to the stallion as he makes it come to a stop. I pull the reins back, and he whinnies. A boy comes rushing over. "Hello, are you Mr. Stain?", he asks my father. Father nods. "Indeed I am.", the boy nods back. "Mrs. Remlin is waiting for you. I will be taking your horses.", father let's out a thank you as we both dismount the horses and hand the boy the reins. The boy quickly shuffles off and I follow father through an oak wood door.

"Peter, are they here?", calls a female voice. "Mrs. Remlin? It's Chrisy and Jack Stain.", the sound of heals his heard and soon, a light brown haired head pops out from around the corner. She smiles, showing off sharp canines. She steps out completely to reveal a silver dress and no shoes. She jogs over. "Ah, yes! Welcome to you both.", father takes her hand and kisses her knuckles. "Thank you for agreeing to meet with us.", she giggles and waves him off. "Now now, it's my pleasure. Please, follow me."

As we walk down a corridor, Mrs. Remlin speaks about her daughter by the name of Lillian. "Now, I apologize in advance for any misbehavior from Lillian.", she looks back at us. "She isn't very fond of the whole marriage idea.", my father chuckles. "It's alright. Jack here isn't very fond of it either.", her gaze moves to me in a side eye. "Oh really? Don't worry. Once you get to know her, you'll love her."

"Lillian! They're here!", Mrs. Remlin calls up a staircase. She keeps walking and I catch a glimpse of a light brown haired female with fair skin. Mrs. Remlin shoves open two large doors that leads to a lounge room. "Please, make yourself at home.", both father and I take a seat on the velvet couch, while Mrs. Remlin takes a seat on a love seat to our left. A lovely maid bring us tea with a soft smile. I nod to her, carefully taking the warm cup. Soft plaps enter the room as I take a sip of tea, lightly burning my lip. When I bring the cup back down, an angered looking female is sitting next to Mrs. Remlin. Her silver eyes burn into mine and my cheeks warm up. I look away, embarrassed. "Lillian, this is Mr. Stain and his son, Jack.", Mrs. Remlin introduces us. Lillian eyes my clothing. "Not very classy as I was told.", I raise an eyebrow at her own attire of jean shorts and an off-the-shoulder, sky blue shirt. Like her mother, her feet are bare. "Not so classy your self.", I reply. Father's head snaps at me, his eyes glaring. Mrs. Remlin simply laughs and Lillian raises an eyebrow. "Oh, how lovely! I think you two will get along just fine. Now, Lillian, take Jack else where while I talk to his father.", Lillian rolls her eyes and stands. "Come on."
