Lillian is silent as we walk down hallways, me following a few steps behind her. The home is awfully bland with a few paintings and sculptures. "Oi, pick up the slack.", Lillian snaps. I mumble an apology and jog to catch up to her, now at her side. She glances at me. "Just so you know, I don't want to marry you and I'm not going to.", I shurg. "The feeling is mutual.", my calmness seems to anger her seeing as her nostrils flare and her shoulders tense. I chuckle. "How far up is the stick in your ass?", she smacks my shoulder but I see the corner of her lips twitch upwards. I grin slightly. "Just because you don't want to marry me, doesn't mean you have to be rude." "Wrong, I do."

Lillian opens a door that leads outside. She let's the door fall on me and I grunt, slightly irritated. But the irritation fades quickly as I look up at the jungle like garden. Birds fly around in the enclosed space and I can hear little animals scurry around in the leaves on the ground. The large, hanging leaves drip with water, seemingly just watered. And Lillian, walking down the gravel path, looks almost beautiful and calm if her shoulders weren't so tense. Her long hair flows softly and her feet barely move the gravel as she power walks down the path. She looks over her shoulder, coming to a stop. He remains standing, bewildered. She gives her head a slight shake, eyebrows raised in an irritated, questioning gesture. Snapping out of his daze, he jogs to catch up with her once again, kicking up gravel slightly.

"This place is beautiful.", I comment, continuing my wondering gaze at all the large plants looming above us. Lillian gives a slight shrug and nods. "Yeah, but it loses it's amazingness after a few years. But I like it here. It's quiet, so hush.", I glance at her to see her more calm and I remain silent. She's awfully rude. I understand she doesn't want to marry me, nor do I, but she doesn't have to act like I'm the source of all things bad.

Soon, we come upon and opening. There's a glistening pool, next to it a lovely gazebo, surrounded by plantation. Inside has a bookcase, a small one, a chair and a couch with pastel pink cushioning, and a table in the center. On the concrete floor is a yellow rug. Lillian enters the gazebo and takes a book off of the book case, taking a seat on the couch before laying in it. I glance at her then the book case, skimming the spins. I take one that suits my interest most and take a seat on the chair. I open the book and begin to read, finding no other option.

I become deeply invested in the book, feeling all sorts of connections towards the characters. The environment is truly peaceful. The breeze is soft, balancing the warm air. The sound of the waves in the pool and the pages turning sets me at ease and I can feel Lillian's tense/strong aura diminish almost completely.

The approaching footsteps don't interest me enough to look up from my book, until a voice speaks up. "Jack, it's time to leave.", I finally look up at my father, blinking at him in confusion before I finally collect my thoughts and stand up, closing the book. I curse myself slightly, regretting not looking at what page I was on. I nod to my father before turning to the bookcase to put the book up. "Keep it.", Lillian speaks up. I look at her, surprised. She shrugs at my expression. "You were quiet and seem genuinely interested in it. Keep it.", I grin and hold out my hand to her. "It was nice to meet you, Lillian.", she rolls her eyes and shakes my head. "Likewise, princess.", I laugh at the nickname and she grins slightly. "Get out of here.", she chuckles. I nod and turn away, tucking the book under my arm. And with that, I walk away with my father.
