The next day Jimin still was ashamed by his actions, the whole night he had beaten himself up, regretting ever trying to court Jungkook.

Jimin loved the younger boy and to know that he just got on Jungkook's nerves was an awful feeling. In the morning he had to force himself out of bed, he really just wanted to stay in bed the whole day not facing anyone, by now the whole school probably knew what had happened the previous day.

And he was right, as he walked past a group of three girls they all looked at him pitifully, whispering something like "poor boy" and "jungkook was too hard on him".

Jimin hated that, he was good enough to get their pity but not enough to be their friend. Jimin was used to being alone and was okay with it most of the time, but just sometimes he wanted someone to talk to as well. Someone who could help him with his problems and support him.

A few years ago he had the hope that Jungkook could maybe be that person, but well that didn't matter anymore.

In class it wasn't better one bit, people whispered behind his back, some feeling bad for him, others laughing at him for trying to get a date with someone who was completely out of his league.

Jimin tried to ignore them all.

Jimin's eyes unfortunately moved to Jungkook's seat, realizing with a frown that Jungkook wasn't there. He was worried and hoped that the taller was alright.

Usually when Jungkook was absent Jimin would try to gather enough courage to go to Jungkook's best friends and ask them whether Jungkook was okay or not, but not today.

The break was nothing unusual, he would spent it in the library with some other loners, just reading romances or napping for a few minutes.

As usual on a Friday, Jimin's classes ended at 11 am and he made his way back home. He couldn't wait to finally lay in bed again, there he could, as cliche as it sounds, just eat ice cream, watch a movie and cry.

His route back home passed Jungkook's neighborhood, even though it was a slight detour but he had never changed it ever since 8th grade when they used to walk back home together in hope that maybe some day Jungkook would like to walk with him again.

Maybe it's time to change my route, Jimin thought.

Back home he immediately ran to his bed, throwing himself under the covers, his mother would only arrive in a few hours so he had to cook something for himself.

Jimin groaned, he hated cooking, that's why he was so happy as he got to know that Jungkook was really good at cooking.

"Stop thinking about him." Jimin mumbled to himself.

In the evening Jimin decided to text his internet friend, or more like the only friend he had. Sadly he didn't even know the persons full name.

Jimin could feel his face heat up at the sweet words, Joon had always been nothing but sweet to him, all this words, being things he wished Jungkook would say to him.

That evening Jimin didn't cry himself to sleep and that even though he just got his heart broken, all thanks to Joon.

Maybe moving on will be a little easier than he had always feared.
