Third Person's POV
We are still deep inside the cave headquarters with Ash and Hilda. But they've met another pair trying to be the heroes, a pair they saved from Team Plasma the first time.
It did save some introductions however, even though the four had to catch Alder and Skyla up to speed. That was the fun story to talk about and they almost died during that event.
"So..." Rosa looks across a big flat stone at Clay. They didn't waste time building a wooden table or something apparently.
"We are all in pretty big trouble girl," Clay sharpens a pickaxe using the table in front of them. "But the President gave us the luxury of telling us exactly what they're up to."
"He said something about a flying ship in his last announcement," Skyla says with a sparkle in her eye. "I bet I could outfly it."
"Won't it be an army ship?" Nate asks. "That can shoot some magical ice stuff."
"Supposedly," Clay nods. "I'm not taking liking to your chances sky high girl."
"Fine," Skyla huffs and lays back in her chair hard. "How are we going to beat these guys then?"
"Beat them," Ash suggests.
"If they don't get the ship in the sky, what can they do?" Hilda supports him. "The Pokémon they talked about is in Giant Chasm so why can't we go there?"
"You think we should head straight into their entire army," Rosa doesn't sound so enthused. "We might as well let Giratina run rampage while we're at it."
"Hmm," Clay gets their attention. "Two people could hide in one of Unova's deepest mazes pretty easily."
"Two," Skyla repeats what he said.
"Two," Clay states.
"We'll go," Nate stands up with Rosa.
"I think we should go," Hilda argues. "We had to go through a lot to get here."
"So you should take a break," Rosa suggests. "Let the wiser ones take care of this."
"Who saved you already this year..." Ash mutters.
"Ok enough!" Clay stops it before they escalate. "Going and staying are just as important. Two of you buggers need to stay so that we can send you out when needed."
"Good idea," Skyla adds. "Remember how quickly this all popped up. Another problem could fall right out of the sky."
The two outs look between each other, waiting for someone to take defence. A long silence occurs, no one wants to stay at home and watch their team win the trophy.
"Fineee," Rosa rolls her eyes. "Those two are stubborn so they can run into danger."
"We'll be test on backup though," Nate shrugs, he probably would've been fine either way.
"Yes!" Ash says in relief. "I need to keep my legs moving."
"Thanks," Hilda smiles and the two nod.
"Now we need a plan," Clay sits them all back down. "Even I, the greatest miner the world has known, can't navigate Giant Chasm without a plan."
"Not even researchers have found Ky's cavern," Skyla adds. "It'll be a wild Swanna chase so you need to be prepared."
"Got it." Ash and Hilda say in unison.
Preparation involved stuffing their backpacks with as much supplies on possible. Most importantly was food and water, natural springs can be found flowing through caves but you can't rely on that. This could last a week or more so over half of their limited room is filled with edibles.
