Caden and Blaze

There wasn't much going on between Caden and Blaze, but they didn't mind the silence. They both knew that Lapiz Gen was an underground village home to some Gnomes, Goblins, Troll, and a whole bunch more.
"Do you think we'll be there soon?"
"Caden, it's not that big of a deal!"
"Actually it is, when the sun goes down some really mean creatures come out to play."
"Oh- well I guess we should hurry to get there. But wouldn't you say that Orcs or Cyclopes are scary and mean?"
"I would but they can be nice. I may be scared of a lot of things, but if they aren't mean and don't want me as their meal I'm less scared of them." They knew they were getting close because they were surrounded by trees that look dead, and hills where eyes were peeking out from. Caden had a weird feeling about the forest they are in.
"Are you sure we're going the right way?"
"Yes, I'm sure. Do you really doubt my sense of direction?"
"Yes, I do because you were brought along for healing not direction telling!" The loud noise Caden had made to prove his point alerted a creature. A huge spider glided down towards them, it looked really hungry. Neither the Nymph or the Fae was brought to fight. They didn't know how to rid of the spider. Caden had already made an illusion to hide the horses so the spider wouldn't eat them.
"WHAT DO WE DO!!!!"
"I have no idea, but got to calm down!"
"BURN IT!"
"What?!?"
"You are a fire Fae you can burn things!"
"No, actually I can't. I learned healing techniques not fighting ones!"
"WELL TRY ANYWAY OR WE'RE GONNA DIE!"
"Don't worry we won't die!" Between their argument the spider just stood there with its head cocked to the side.
"What if we ask it nicely not to eat us?"
"Blaze it's a spider and we are not BEAST TAMERS!" Blaze didn't respond to his comment and tried to cast a fire spell on it, but only a small ember and a puff of smoke appeared.
"THAT WAS PATHETIC!"
"I TOLD YOU I DIDN'T LEARN TO FIGHT!" Before Caden could answer Blaze's retort the spider made a really loud screech. They looked at it and the color drained from their face at seeing the creature again. A black glittery smoke appeared around the spider and swirling around it in a tornado kinda formation. When the smoke started to disappear there stood the the spiders place a young male.
"Hello, my name is Arechne."
"WHAT!"
"Caden calm down!"
"CALM DOWN! HOW DO I CALM DOWN WHEN THE CREATURE THAT WAS GONNA EAT US TURNED INTO A SUPER HOT GUY-I mean a person." Arechne laughed at Cadens statement.
"I'm assuming you two are looking for the village Dew. Am I correct?"
"Yes, you are correct."
"Good, now follow me I can lead you there."
"Were y-y-you g-gonna eat us?"
"Don't be silly! I'm the protector of Dew. People unworthy of entering will either flee or fight."
"Oh, sorry about the spell then."
"It did no harm. You are fine."  Caden and Blaze looked at each other in confusion but followed Arechne anyway.
