Shivering in the dark, the dead grumbled softly, pulling at their bindings. It was all numbing as Lucinee lay there, twisting her long black curls around her finger. Clean streaks upon her face were dried tears once lingered.
Her body shook softly as she grinded her teeth. Stinging, itching, aching - everywhere. Her legs, arms, back and chest all a mass of ruined nerves. She lay on her back and gazed at the cieling, whispering the words to an old lullabye her father used to sing her - Talishi Oror.
She'd kept herself company through the night with those words, but found no sleep. Before she knew it, she could hear a lone bird out side, faintly cherping.
The door had opened so quietly it went unheard by Lucine and the dim light from the early morning left the room dark. But Leader had that strange air abput him, she knew he was there.
He said nothing as hebwalked in and stood over her, watching - listening. "What language is that?" He asked after some time passed. Lucine did not reply and continued on. Leader knelt and checked over her water and her food.
She had taken very little of it, he looked to her with a void stare. Reaching put Leader placed the back of his hand against Lucine's forehead. "you've no fever." He said with a sigh. "Who were you before? You speak english and well. So i know you can answer me." He said with a pause, he narrowed his eyes at Lucine as she looked up at him. "You just....wont." He said.
Lucine tapped her forehead sluggishly " double u" she said voice strained. Leader smiled faintly "the wolves have return home." He said. Lucine watched him "this man is nuts" she thought grinding her teeth. Leader averted his eyes from her and reached in his pocket. He pulled out a small pill half.
It looked like a form of asprin, the off brand sort you'd find in a dollar store. The kind it usually took two of to help ease pain. Lucine. Cast her eyes back to the cieling "i dont need it." She said as he held it out in the oalm of his hand. "I'm not asking you." He said with a chuckle-like scoff and a amused smile. "You're too stuborn. So I'm telling you, take it." He said.
Lucine rolled over onto her stomach wincing as her wounds pressed against the cold stone. She looked up at Leader pointedly "it wont help me, it wont even cut the pain. Save it." She rasped. Leader roae his head a bit, and withdrew his hand putting the pill back in his pocket.
"You have bite to you, if you will not tell me who you were. I'm gonna choose who you are." He said, he pulled out another small can from his other pocket and set it down on the ground. He then pushed Lucine's open can closer to her. "I'm gonna call you Fang. Eat." He said.
Lucine looked between him and her can, she eyed him carefully as he sat down fully on the ground before her, resting a arm across his knee. Lucine ate slowly, she could feel the food slip ibto her stomach and quickly burn away.
