The moving of the ambulance hurts her body. All of a sudden Daley feels lightheaded. 'Are you ok? You look pale Daley.' A hand over her hair from the ambulance woman, who's name she forgot.
'Bit lightheaded.' She closes her eyes.
'Okay talk to me Daley, what do you do for living?' Daley start to talk to the woman, slightly getting her thoughts off the pain, but it isn't helping much. She wants to move but she can't. A collar around her neck for safety, not that she believes she broke her neck, but just moving her hand already hurts. Her broken screen filled with messages from multiple friends and family, who care about her. Some saw it on the news and some she sent a text too to inform them. She speaks in a spoken message, because she doesn't feel like typing with one hand. 'Hi, I'm good. Just got out of surgery, they puzzled my collarbone bones back together. Now I have metal in my arm, I feel like that dude from Marvel... what's is name again?.. doesn't matter. So yeah I'm good, need to get rest. Beyond my broken collarbone I have a light concussion, a bruised ankle and bruised ribs, some scratches and more bruises all over my body. But I don't feel them because I'm on druuugs! Bucky! That's his name, the dude I was talking about.' The name just popped up in her mind. 'Thanks for y'all concern, that's sweet. At the moment I'm not so quick with reacting.' She giggles at her own joke, which isn't even a joke. 'Okay bye.' She sends if forward to multiple people. Marcus is shaking his head at how funky she still is. Daley moves her hand through her boyfriends blonde hair, what moves right back to its place because of the gel. 'Thank you for being here.' Marcus looks up from his phone, grabbing her hand.
'Of course babe.' He moves her hand to his mouth, kissing it. 'I'll always be there.' Daley looks at him for a couple seconds, realizing how happy she has to be with him by her side.
'Do you still love me?' Marcus isn't so sure why she asked that, of course he does. He hasn't slept with anyone after she figured out, he is kinda proud.
'What's that for question? Of course I do! You're the love of my life and I love you with whole my heart.' Daley her stomach slightly hurts, but she doesn't know why. She loves him too.
'I love you too.' Their lips meet. 'I miss you.' Marcus frowns.
'I'm right her D.' She shakes her head.
'Not here, in bed.'
'Not so sure if it's gonna be so nice for you with that arm, unless you are on top.' Marcus slightly smirks. She slaps his chest. All of a sudden Daley feels dizzy. 'What's wrong? Want me to call a nurse?' Their hands folded together.
'No, just- it's fine.' Marcus looks at the scratch on her left cheekbone, that's gonna leave a scar. 'A friend told me we should do more things together. Even little things. We haven't been on a date for ages, when was the last time we did something something fun?' Marcus agrees. He thinks that will safe a part of their relationship. His proposal healed a big part, now the final bits.A knock on the hospital-door before it opens. Her whole family walks in, including her little nephew who she hasn't seen in real life for ages and her mother's boyfriend. That must've been a bit awkward in the airplane, and it was at the beginning. But it's also her weird ass dad who made it extra weird. Diana walks over to her daughter, who was walking around the room.
'Oh honey.' The mother wraps her arms around her daughter.
'I'm fine mama,' Daley tries to assure here. One arm around her mother.
'You could've died. You know I hate motorbikes.' Daley smiles before giving her a quick kiss, on to her father. She knows her mother hates them, because you don't have much protection when things like this happen. She gets it but she loves it too, got that from her father.
'My baby,' he softly says. Not knowing what he would do if she died. He is the one who goes first.'How did it happen?' Her sister asks, little Vince playing on the bed next to Daley. Her sister is a strong woman, taking care of the two year old all by herself. Daley admires her. 'I don't remember. They told me the one who hit me drove through a red light, but I don't remember anything. Not even driving there yesterday, I was in a ambulance all of a sudden and that's all I know honestly.' It brakes her parents hearts. Their little baby. 'My ribs are bad.' Daley lifts her shirt, showing the dark blue bruise on her skin. The family a little shocked. 'They think I fell on a stone or something, could've broken my rips.' But luckily they are just bruised.
'You've talked to Daniel?' Parker asks his little sister not too loud. Parker has little Vince on his arm.
'Yes, but I want you to shut up about him. We're done, I told him that and I am telling you now. So please leave it.' He can tell she is deadly serious, more than she has ever been. Parker finds is disappointing, she and Daniel looked so good together. She seemed so much happier around Daniel.
'Okay I will, I promise.' Daley really hopes so. She just wants to focus on recovery and her relationship with Marcus, trying to fix the broken parts.'Do you have a date set already?' Daley and Marcus look at each other and start to smile. They finally have a date and place set, they booked it right away. They had nothing to do and somehow they were done really quick both liking it.
'July 20 2020,' Marcus answers Léon. Tobias looks at his daughter who looks happy, but he also gets the feeling she fully isn't. Will she tell him the things she did with Daniel? Probably not. He doesn't judge her though.
'The location is a secret.' But the whole family is happy for them, they finally found a place and date.
'Marcus you're coming with us to the Hungarian GP?' Marcus is a little surprise Tobias asks. He is convinced her father doesn't like him that much anymore after what he did to her, which he gets, but he wants Tobias to forgive him like Daley did.
'Yeah sounds fun.' He needs to take days off from work, but he'll arrange that. Now is the best time to make things up with his future father-in-law.
'Good.' Léon and Diana aren't coming with, of course. They are planning on staying a little longer in NY, making it a little trip. But beyond them everyone is coming even little Vince. This weekend is special, Porsche Banks racing will be announced.
'You sure it's a good idea that you're going?' Diana talks to her youngest daughter. 'You have to heal.' Daley looks at her assuring.
'I'll be fine mom, don't worry.' She is a grown up, she knows her boundaries. Daley is slightly surprised that her father and Léon are getting along this well. He still loved her when they divorced, she was the one not in love anymore. Daley has accepted their parents, but mostly mother's decision, they still "friends". At least they're not fighting.
