It's been three weeks now since Hoseok came to live with me. For the first few days, he was still hesitant to ask me for things, but after the first week, he had warmed up to me. He smiled a lot more, he was gaining weight, and it showed in his now chubby cheeks. He was such a sweetie, and he loved helping me around the house. On the days I had to work, he was reluctant to let me go and even clung to my legs the first time, tears threatening to fall from his adorable brown eyes. It was so cute; I had almost called in to cuddle with him but seeing as how I now had another mouth to feed, I had to go.
I looked forward to coming home even more now that I had a sweet hybrid waiting for me. As soon as Hoseok would hear my keys jingle in the lock, I could hear him running from wherever he was in the house to meet me at the door. He would always greet me with a bright smile spread across his face, and his tail swishing behind him. His hugs are the best, although I had to tell him a few times not to squeeze me too tightly since he was much more durable than me.
It was nice coming home to him but the weekends were so much better because we could relax at home together. I could tell that staying in so much was starting to get to him because he was getting restless. It takes a bit longer to get him to bed, and even as I drift off, I can feel him playing in my hair. It was sweet, but I knew he was ready to move around more. Despite him being a cat, he had the energy of a ferret or something.
After a very long week, it was finally Saturday, and instead of sitting in the house watching TV, I was finally going to let him come out with me again. We woke up around 9 A.M. because I, once again, fell asleep without closing my curtains. I'm grateful for sunlight, but sometimes I want to sleep. I rolled over to see Hoseok sleeping peacefully next to me. I have tried to get him to sleep in his room, but sometimes he sneaks in in the middle of the night to cuddle. It was a little startling at first, but I'm used to it now. His hair was disheveled from sleep, but he still looked so adorable. His cheeks were always puffy in the mornings, but it just added to his charm. He looked so peaceful that I almost didn't want to wake him.
"Hobi, wake up sweetie," I reached up and ran my fingers through his hair. His eyes fluttered a bit, a soft purr escaping his slightly parted lips. I chuckled softly and called to him again.
"Hobi, wake up. I have a surprise for you," I said sweetly but a little louder than before. His ear twitched a bit before his eyelids fluttered open, briefly revealing his chocolate eyes before he closed them again due to the sunlight.
"Y/N, five more minutes," he mumbled, pulling me close and burying his head in my hair.
"Oh well, guess I'll go to the park by myself," I sighed dramatically with a small pout. I couldn't see his face, but I could tell he was excited since his tail started lightly hitting the bed. He pulled back enough to let me see his smiling face.
