Hilary
I sat on our porch, years later. I was supposed to have been 89, and Leah hadn't stopped phasing so she still looked 20. We had our children - Marie, Nicolas, Sadie, and Lillian - sitting on the steps with us. Their children were young, playing on the yard. We'd had to explain to- well. I'd had to explain to Leah and I's children that I was a never-aging witch, and their Mom was a werewolf who protected her people from the evil vampires.
Sadie's only child, a little girl named Leah Hilary Newton (she'd gotten involved with Mike Newton's son, it was so sweet), came up to me and sat on my lap.
"Nana, I love you. Can we stay up until eight tonight?!" She giggled. She looked like her mother, only with light blue eyes.
"Darling, you have to ask your Mother." I smiled softly at my granddaughter. She sighed and trudged over to her Mom.
Looking back, I remembered the life I once had. This... shell of a girl, this brokenhearted girl, became complete. And it's all because of a woman I had lost all contact with until 68 years ago. All because I fell for my best friend.
"Hilly? Can I talk to alone for a minute?" Leah asked me. Even after 68 years, I still loved her and never wanted to be anywhere but in her arms.
"Of course." I nodded. She took my hand and we walked inside, to our room.
"I'm not going to live forever. I'll stop phasing one day. I don't want to leave you, so... I have an idea. I want you to turn me human so Carlisle can turn me. He's in on it, we just need your magic." She told me the moment we were alone.
"Of course! I can do it now, if you want!" I smiled hugely. She lifted me up and brought me to the Cullen house.
"She said yes!" Leah announced.
Four days later, I clutched her hand tightly. Jasper and Bella had tried to get me to leave, but I couldn't leave my Leah. I couldn't just... leave her, abandon her.
Suddenly, her eyes opened. Her once beautiful brown eyes were now an... intoxicating crimson colour. They made her even more beautiful. Her hair had grown to shoulder length, and that was how it would be for the rest of eternity.
"Hey." I smiled softly at her. She stared up at me. I used the listening spell to listen to her thoughts.
She smells so amazing... no. Don't. She is your wife! Not your meal! Is this what Edward faced when he met Bella and mated with her? Wow. But, dear lord, she smells amazing. I want her. More than for her blood. I can finally go all night! Just like her... watch out, Hil. I have plans. her bell-tone voice sounded in my head. I blushed brightly.
"Hi." she said. I smiled. She stood and slowly felt her way up my arm. I smiled at her softly, and she roughly pulled me into a hard kiss. I gasped, kissing back.
After a few seconds, I pulled back a bit.
"Lee... you're a bit stronger than me now. Be gentle... ow." I gasped for air. She let me go immediately.
"S-sorry." she said.
"No, it's... nothing. Don't worry. Just be gentle." I smiled. She gently kissed me then.
I had thought living forever would be horrible. That my Leah would one day die, and leave me with our four children and six grandchildren. But, now that she was a vampire? Now that she would be mine forever? Forever didn't seem so bad.And then, dear reader... we blissfully entered our own little piece of heaven. Forever and always.
