"I wish that I could wake up with amnesia" from 'Amnesia' by 5 Seconds of Summer.

--an apology for a friend--

...I wish that I could wake up with Amnesia, and forget all the stupid little things...

Forgetting all the stupid little things can seem so tempting when you're feeling so much pain.
Forgetting seems the easiest option when you're encased in darkness with no hope of light.
Forgetting means to no longer exist.

Don't forget.

Remember all the good little things even if it seems impossible.
Remember that the paths you are taking, whilst in the darkness, are tests of your will and strength.
Remembering means to exist.

Please remember.

...I'll admit I feel alone, And all my friends keep asking why I'm not around...

Always know that you are never alone; all of those that you think who have deserted you are lurking in the shadows, waiting for you at the end.
They try to understand your burdens, but at the same time they are afraid to understand.
They are afraid to understand your pain, because no person should ever have to suffer like you have...and are still enduring.

...If today I woke up with you right beside me, Like all of this was just some twisted dream, I'd hold you closer than I ever did before, And you'd never slip away...

From the one who did desert you - not out of anger or rejection - but because it was easier to accept than to see you suffer;
From the one who can't help, because it's too late and you already have others who you can trust and rely on;
From the one who will be waiting at the end, if you accept it;

Here I write my sincerest apologies; I have been blind, naive, and selfish. I pray that your suffering will come to an end, and I hope you cherish those closest to you, as I still do you. I am truly sorry; I wish I could have been strong enough to help you... please forgive me.
