Turn Of Emotions

Y/n got a text from her Mum, I didn't see what it said but her mood just completely changed. Something was definitely wrong.

Grayson: "Y/n what's wrong? What did your mum send you?"

Y/n: "nothing. What do you mean?"

Grayson: "I saw you got a text from your mum and you looked at it and that beautiful smile of yours vanished."

Y/n: "um.." her voice cracked.

Grayson: "cmon, you can tell me anything y/n, you know that."

Y/n started crying. I still didn't know what was wrong but I didn't want to ask until we got home. I moved over a seat and gave her my shoulder to cry on.

Your P.O.V

My mum just told me that my dad just rang her. My mum ran away from my dad when I was 7 because he abused my mum and now he has found us again. I was and still am scared of my dad. I don't really remember anything but I do remember the way he treated me and my family, he would always yell at me and my siblings and he would threaten my mum and tell her that he would hurt her. I didn't wanna tell Gray about it because he doesn't know about my dad, nobody does. Him and Ethan never really asked about my dad so I never told them about him.

I felt really guilty about not telling Gray or E, Gray looked really concerned. I'm so glad that they're here because they comforted me and they made me feel safe. I soaked Gray's shirt with my tears, I wish I told him about my dad so that I didn't have to explain the whole situation to him. It's just gonna be harder to tell him.

Y/n: "hey Gray."

Grayson: "yeah?"

Y/n: "thank you for caring about me, you too E, I'm so glad you guys are here."

Grayson: "why wouldn't we care about you? You are the most amazing girl I've ever met."

Y/n: "thank you so much."

Grayson kissed me on the forehead and started to play with my hair. He was so cute.

We were arriving at Ethan and Grayson's house, which meant I had to say bye. I forgot I had school tomorrow I was just in an overall shitty mood.

Y/n: "bye guys."

Grayson: "please tell me what's up tomorrow, I love you."

Y/n: "ok I promise I will, finish the video please. Love you too Gray."

Ethan: "we will, I promise. Have a good night."

Y/n: "I'll try, I don't want you to go."

Grayson: "We have to go. See you tomorrow y/n."

Y/n: "bye guys. See you later."

They walked inside and I hopped in the front seat. I think Amy saw me because she was out the front of her house.

Y/n: "what are you doing outside!? It's 10pm!"

Amy: "the real question is, how was your night?"
Y/n: "well hanging out with E and Gray was good but something happened tonight with my mum which bummed me out."
Amy: "oh, do you want to talk about it?"

Y/n: "not really honestly. But I'll tell you soon."

Amy: "well I'm here to listen if you ever need someone to talk to but it's okay if you don't tell me. Anyway I should probably go inside so I'll see you at school tomorrow."

Y/n: "thanks Amy. I'll see you tomorrow, bye."

Amy: "bye."

Amy walked inside and we drove off. Now that everyone was gone I could finally tell Josh what happened.

Y/n: "you're probably wondering why I cried hey?"

Josh: "yeah are you ok? What did mum send you?"

Y/n: "um..well..um, Dad rang Mum."

Josh stopped the car. He was in complete shock. He didn't know what to say.

Y/n: "Josh-"

Josh: "I CAN'T DO THIS. IT'S ALL MY FAULT."

Y/n: "Josh, you can't blame yourself for everything that happens."

Josh: "I SHOULDN'T OF TRUSTED HIM."

Y/n: "what do you mean?"

Josh: "I have been talking to Dad. I was only talking to him because I needed to see what he was doing with his life. He said he wouldn't try to find us. He said he wouldn't mess with us or contact us. He broke his fucking promise."

Y/n: "it's still not your fault. He should've kept his promise, he lied to you. I have been thinking of talking to him but I didn't know how to."

Josh: "he is a fucking asshole, what am I supposed to tell Mum?! She's going to kill me, she told me not to talk to him, but I didn't listen to her."

Y/n: "she can't get mad at you, you didn't mean to start anything, you just wanted to see how Dad was. He is the problem and he always has been."

Josh: "thanks Y/n, it's just we could be in so much danger right now. We might have to move, like to another state."

Y/n: "what! No, are you serious!?"

Josh: "he is capable of many things and I don't want Mum to be in danger."

Y/n: "ok. We really need to get home."
