Chapter 11: Vapula's Promise

V and I watched as Lucifer stood up, walking down to us while Hera bowed and left the room, leaving us to watch as Lucifer stopped before us. "I had yet to meet you two. I wasn't expecting you to come down here after your profession says to kill all demons."

"Our profession is on hold at the moment," V said. "We've come here solely to ask you to protect your Holy Grail. Mundus is after it."

"As I said earlier," Lucifer replied. "Andras has already ascertained Mundus pathetic attempts."

"What about Gabriel and Michael along with Raphael joining the fray?" I asked.

Lucifer merely smiled. "They don't even stand a chance. But since you're so worried about my safety, I already have set up measures under Andras and Sorath's supervision. You can join if you want."

"Well we didn't really mean that," V said, leaning on his cane. He was about to say something when the hall doors opened and a dark skinned red eyed beautiful woman. She wore a see through cape and bra and underwear making me take a second glance. She took me and V's appearance, then slightly smiled at me. Her attention then returned back to Lucifer. "My lord. I hope I'm not intruding."

"Not at all Vapula," Lucifer replied. "These are my great grandchildren, Reimar and Victor Rekcut the sons of Adriel."

Vapula glanced at us again and bowed he head to us. "My respects unto you young princes. I've heard of you two, especially you Reimar. You go by the name Marcu Cross above in the human realm."

"Well I am a demon hunter who does what is necessary, although I think I'm just a supernatural hunter since I don't discriminate amongst those who do wrong." I said scratching the back of my head. "You seem to know my other name. How?"

Lucifer chuckled. "Vapula has been highly interested in your exploits. She's been looking for someone who has your expertise."

"Uh huh," I replied. "And why is that?"

"I'm highly attracted to you. Now I know your looks, I'm even more attracted."

"Sorry," V replied. "He's taken by a human, so that's that."

Vapula smiled. "I don't think so V. Yes I know about you as well. Reimar your world is about to get ripped to shreds. Kat will not survive the night, however if you want I can assist you to attempt it."

"What the fuck are you talking about?" I frowned, stepping close to her.

"Vapula has talk to others who have forsight of the future" Lucifer said, walking back to his throne. " Kat is in danger, but there may be something I can do about that, with Vapula's assistance."

Vapula bowed to Lucifer and looked towards me. "So what say you Ramier? I'm all ready to help."

"I am actually surprised to be getting help from demons," I sighed. "This would be unprecedented."

"You don't understand dedication well," Haures said leading the way out while we followed her. "It's something that daemons or Daemonesses pledge even to those who are dead no longer living."

"But you barely know me." I replied.

"Actually I know about you very much Ramier," Vapula replied. "You forgot I know about your past. You became dear to me when you showed you valued justice over everything else. Isn't that why you sought power after Maria killed you and your parents? Justice and Revenge go hand in hand when it comes to actions afterwards. It's basic instinct for all entities."

"You know a lot Vapula," V replied.

"Thank you V," Haures smiled, stopping at a wall. She then held out her hand and created a portal, grabbing my hand gently as she pulled me into it. V had joined us as well. We came out onto the floor of our mansion. We were in the hall when I saw a brief flash and I turned as a engery beam knocked me back into a wall. I growled as I stood up. The one who shot it was Sarah Crow. She smiled as she tapped her blade in her hand.

"So what do we have here? Nephilim and Demons joining together. How low."

I unsheathed my sword, when Vapula held up her hand. "That won't be necessary. I can handle this easily."

I stepped back as Vapula conjured a slim sword, and pointed it at Sarah. She then ran at Sarah who merely swung her sword sending a energy beam at her. Vapula cut through it with ease, reaching Sarah with inhuman speed, stabbing her sword directly into the heart of the the angel. Sarah gasped out as she glanced at Vapula who smirked as she pulled out the sword. She swung her sword and the blood flew off her sword as she walked back to me while Sarah exploded into blue flames.

I whistled. "Well you can handle yourself very well."

"I was a swords woman before in ancient times," She replied with a smile. "It's in me to kill those who fight on the wrong side."

I nodded as V then tapped on my shoulder. I turned as he pointed to the top of the stairs. Standing there was Kat held at sword point by none other than Michael. "Well,well, well. Took you long enough. And look you brought friends."

"Kat sweetie," I said ignoring Michael as my anger grew. "You are going to be fine. Where is everyone else?"

"They are fighting," Kat replied, her eyes glancing at the sword as well. "Michael the asshole here created a diversion and well, here we are."

Michael glared at me, the smiled as he glanced at Kat. "You know there is a thing back then that a woman who associated with those affiliated with demons were slain. So let's keep that to the current day no?"

I then watched as my heart stopped as Michael stabbed Kat in the stomach and kicked her sending her down the steps. I then finally went berserk and roared as I caught Kat with crazy speed, setting her down and launched myself at Michael who had monetarily got caught off guard as I slammed him into the wall. I then grabbed his sword with one hand and slammed him into the ground. I then began to stomp on his face with his grunts of pain as I got even more angry than I already was. I then picked him up by his bloody face and threw him into a wall. He collapsed as I walked over to him. I grabbed ahold of his arms and brought my foot behind his back and pulled his arms our of their sockets. I then heard his screams of pain as I turned him over. I then placed my foot onto his neck as my vision got hazy with such bloodlust. I then stabbed my sword into his chest, right into his heart. He then let out one final yell before his body dispersed into blue flames and went into the ground.

I then stood up as I felt such monstrous need to kill everything. I wanted to fill the void. I glanced at V who merely frowned. I began to walk down the steps very slowly, until I heard Kat's voice.

"Ramier that's your brother. It's okay now."

I stopped as I glanced at her. "Don't be my last thing to be regretting for. I can't do that."

I slowly returned back to normal as I bowed down to her, the tears starting to flow out my eyes. "I'm am so sorry. For everything."

"I am sorry for getting so angry with you," She struggled to say. "I let my own jealousy get involved in our relationship. But at least we've got one thing we both are proud of: Lucien. He is indeed just like you."

"Save your breath," Vapula replied. "I can help, but first I want to ask you Ramier, do you want to save her soul?"

"What do you mean?" I growled.

"She can be tied to my body," Vapula replied. "In other words she will inhabit my body as well. It will be a sacrifice I'm willing to make."

I glanced at Kat who had looked at Vapula

"I know who you are. You're Vapula, Daemon Goddess, and fighter for justice and truth. You teach all the sciences of this world."

"Indeed I am. Now what say you Kat? I am willing to share my body with you."

Kat finally nodded while I also did so. Vapula then smiled and leaned down and placed her hands on in Kat's face and kissed her. After several seconds Vapula released her hands and Kat's body had stopped breathing. I then glanced at Vapula who had her eyes closed. She then opened them and looked at her hands. "It worked. It actually worked." She exclaimed.

I frowned. "Uh Vapula shouldn't you already know it would work?"

She then looked at me, tackling me to the ground, kissing me deeply. She broke free from the kiss and smiled.

"I'm Kat silly."
