*Dani's POV*
The nurse begins to check my vitals.
"I called your parents, they said that they'll be here in a couple of hours" she smiles innocently at me.
My heart drops. "My parents!? Why the fuck wouldn't you ask me?" I try to restrain myself from being rude. Billie looks worried. She comes over and attempts to calm me down but I just can't. I can't see them. Hate is a strong word , but I hate them.
"They can't come here , ma'am" Billie says.
"Technically, they are still her legal guardians" she explains.
Billie stands up getting angrier the more she explains. She walks towards the nurse and grabs her collar , "You don't understand. They can't come here"
I have a pit in my stomach. I feel like I'm going to throw up.
{a few hours later}
Billie is sitting in the chair beside me and we're watching lifetime on the Television set. There is a knock at the door and I jump and look at Billie. Billie leans up and whispers , "it's gonna be okay, okay?" I nod and she kisses my forehead.
Billie opens the door and they come in hysterical. My mom is skinny and fragile looking , my mom is slightly shaking, and they have scabs on their arms. My dad is a bit buffer since he is in the "game" he has to look intimidating.
"Omg, Danimah!! What happened! I knew you should have stayed with us!! This girl is nothing but trouble! You're coming home with us ASAP!" My mom exclaims.
"Woah no she-" I cut off Billie.
"I am staying where i am. I'm not going anywhere with you" I say while holding onto my side.
"You are not staying here!" She exclaims.
"Y'all are not gonna take her from me! She is safer with me. Y'all gave her up for drugs! Y'all made y'all's choice, y'all didn't care before, why now, huh? So y'all can bring her into the game??? Fuck that , she won't be anywhere near that shit". Billie goes off.
