After a long day in theatre, Jac was sat, alone but content at her desk, finishing of her final bit of work for the day. Suddenly she felt a shiver overcome her body, as a loud knock overtook the room.

"Who is it?" She said, her voice shaken and fearful.
"Hello! Who is it?" She stood up quickly, rushing to the door and pulling it open with force. Her face fell in shock as she stood, alone, not another soul in sight. Her heart started to race as she slammed the door, falling to the floor as thoughts overpowered her mind. Flashbacks, the pain from years ago.
"No... no!" She yelled as the door burst open.
"Jac?" She felt a warm touch on her shoulder, one of comfort and solitude.
"Jac?" Fletch whispered rubbing her shoulder gently.
"Come on, sit up here." He pulled her up from off of the floor, and lay her against his chest on the warm leather couch. He brushed a stray hair behind her ear and pulled her in closer, so she could hear his calming heart beat.
"I'm s-" she began to speak, but choked up at the thoughts running though her head.
"Hey... listen, you don't have to tell me anything. I came in here to check if you were still up for tonight, but if you want we can just stay home, watch a movie instead."
She looked up at him with a reassuring smile.
"I love you." She said before placing her head on his chest again.
"I love you too silly, and when your ready to talk I'll be here. Whenever it is!"

Around 7pm, Jac was stood on the ward. Everyone working around her as she showed Nicky the records of one of the patients.
"First thing tomorrow, I want you to prepare Mr Taylor for his Aortic valve surgery... which you will be taking the lead on."
"Umm. Wow, thank you Mrs Naylor!"
"Don't get a big head now McKendrick, it's only one operation... and I'll be there to kick you out of MY theatre whenever I want."
"Glad to see I haven't changed you that much." Fletch stood dressed in a suit and tie, holding a bunch of yellow tulips with a smug smile across his face.
"Adrian, you look..." she stuttered for a second before analysing his body.
"Hot? Ravishing? Magnificent?" He said smugly. She giggled at him before taking the flowers from his hand and giving him a passionate kiss. However it was shortly postponed by an awkward voice mumbling "I'm gonna... I'm just gonna go." Nicky quickly turned and walked out the room, before they continued kissing for a-bit longer.
"Fletch, we have to stop or we'll never get out of this place." He sighed as she pulled away, making her laugh a little.
"I guess your right..."
"Don't worry, it'll be worth the wait." She said winking and turning to walk to her office to prepare for the evening ahead. As she arrived, she pulled the vibrant flowers from the packaging, placing them in a glass vase on her desk. A smile crept across her face as she thought about her live... 'how did I get so lucky.'
