Young Rebecca Lee was shaking, green mist gathering around her hands and growing thicker and thicker with every passing moment, her body shuddering and shaking uncontrollably as she sat on her stool. Mitch, perhaps unconsciously, had moved into a fighting crouch, ready to attack or to leap out of the way, and Jerome was likewise ready. Neither of them had drawn their weapons yet. Purple magic gathered around Seto's hands, misting around him much like the green magic was around Rebecca.

"What's the game plan?" Adam asked, taking a step back and watching the young girl carefully, his stomach starting to churn.

Rebecca's head snapped up in response to his voice. Her once-brown eyes were now a solid, vibrant light green that glowed and almost seemed to have mist pouring out of them. The magic was rapidly spreading from her hands to the rest of her body, arcing out or bursting into tiny flames.

"Scatter!" Seto called as strands of that bright green magic spat out at them. They each ducked the bolts and dove out of the way as more of the mist solidified and darted in random directions, sometimes at one of the Generals and sometimes slamming into the wall of a building at random.

A purple shield flashed to life in front of Seto as bright green daggers flew in his direction, the magic spontaneously changing to flames as it touched the shield. The force of the hit pushed Seto back a few steps and then the magic suddenly changed direction and spat towards Mitch, who rolled under the blow and took shelter behind the fence. Jerome likewise disappeared from view and as Adam glanced left and right, he realised that everyone else had fled the street as well, or was watching from far down the other side, cowering behind the houses.

A sixth sense warned him and Adam looked around just in time to duck under a blade of magic that would have probably taken his head off, and he dodged to the side and around the wall of a building as more of the magic turned on him. He rounded the corner just as a bolt of magic split the air beside him, so close that Adam could feel the air it carved through rustling the hairs on his arm, almost touching him, and that's when his internal sensor went nuts, every cell in his bloodstream jumping like it had been shocked, the breath knocked out of his lungs.

He knew this magic. It was familiar.

Just as quickly as it had started, the green magic vanished into thin air. Adam waited a few seconds before slowly peering out around the corner, only sticking out as much of his head as he needed to. Rebecca was still sitting on her stool and shaking, although it seemed to be more out of fear and shock than magic possession, with her arms wrapped around herself and tears starting to run down her face. Jerome had come out from the building he had ducked behind and was kneeling next to her, a hand on her shoulder and speaking quietly to her. Mitch stuck his head out from his fence shelter and Seto slowly lowered his shield and his hands, breathing hard.

"So obviously that wasn't normal, and that's what we're here to figure out," Mitch said, his hand still wrapped tightly around the sheathed sword at his side as he joined Seto and Adam on the street where they were before.

"Yeah." Seto let out a tension-filled breath and shook his hands a bit, calming himself a little before glancing at Adam. "Her magic really packs a punch. Do you think-"

"Definitely," Adam said instantly. "100%, I'm absolutely certain."

"Right, that's what I was worried about."

"Woah woah you two, wanna back up and tell me what's going on?" Mitch asked.

Adam turned to him, subconsciously wondering how he could make his point sound as significant as it was. "That girl's magic is almost exactly the same as mine was. And I mean exactly, Mitch. Same feeling, same kind of energy, same strength; it barely brushed me and I felt how powerful it was. It also," and here he turned back to Seto, "and I can't believe I didn't realise it before, is very similar to the magic that was in that boy a few days ago. We've got the same sort of situation here as we did there."

"So this is a magical sickness as well?" Mitch summarised, glancing between them. "That's what we're dealing with, a similar situation to what Adam had?"

Seto frowned and tapped his knuckles against his chin. "It could be, that might explain a thing or two..."

"Seto," Adam said, fully turning to face him and using his hands to emphasise his words. "It's all making a scarily amount of sense and I don't like the picture I'm bringing up here. This girl, the boy from that village, and me; none of us had any known magical connections. None of us have shown any signs of magic until suddenly, for no reason, we have magic. It made the boy sick, it makes Rebecca go insane and it made me do both. Now does this sound like the same kind of magic or what?"

Seto sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I mean, you have a good point, I can't deny that. But if Rebecca's magic is the same as yours, then that means that, somehow, this is connected to Herobrine. Which means that if we don't get this magic out of her, she's probably going to become as bad as you were. And if that's the case, then we need Herobrine's help, except none of us have been able to get in contact with Herobrine-"

"And there's been no word from Queen Anne in the north for ages," Mitch said with a sigh. "So we're on our own."

"The good news at least is that if Rebecca's magic is spazzing out like it just was, that means that it's not sitting right with her," Seto said. "It's not compatible, unlike Adam. Sure, you couldn't control your magic but it was stable. And since Rebecca's magic isn't, means that it should be easier to separate from her."

"If we separate the magic, can we destroy it?" Mitch asked. "To stop it from possessing someone else? Is that even possible?"

"Theoretically, yes, but it'll take an insane amount of energy to do so."

"Well, then, could we contain it somehow?"

Adam tuned out slightly as Seto and Mitch bounced ideas back and forth off of each other, deep in his own theories. Rebecca had calmed down now and was nodding and even giggling a little as Jerome spoke to her. There was no sign of the green magic from before, nor anything else that would indicate that she had powerful magic that could lash out at any time with little warning...

"Guys," Adam said, interrupting Seto and Mitch's conversation, his eyes still locked on Rebecca. "I have a crazy idea, and it's probably really stupid, but I think it's gonna work."
