The sun was peaking into the window and it's light hit my pale face. I checked my phone and it's only 6:47 in the morning. Daniela is still asleep, hugging her large teddy bear. I turned around to see Greyson. He was sitting on the couch, scratching his head. He saw me looking at him then he smiled. He made this hand gesture that says "sit here beside me". So I stood up and wore the fluffy slippers that Daniela lent me. I sat beside him, hugging my knees.
"Wanna go out today?" he asked.
Wow, this guy is fast. Well, since I don't have anything to do today and it's Sunday which means the bakeshop is closed, I said yes. He also got my number. We were silent for a while since it's obvious that he's not a morning person. Then I caught through my senses that he's staring at me.
"Do I have something on my face?" I said as I wipe my cheeks with my hoodie.
"Nah, nothing. It's really nice meeting you, Tamia," he said. I kinda blushed by the moment he said my name.
"It nice meeting you too, Grey," I replied. After a minute or two, George came into the room and said that breakfast is ready.
"Both of you head downstairs now and I'll wake up Daniela," he also said. And so we did. I can smell the scent of omelette and fried potatoes.
While going to the kitchen, I slipped down the floor. George obivously just mopped down here. My back hurts so much and I think one of my bones cracked down. My spine broke into pieces and bruises are building up on my thighs.
Hyperbole?... Well, those are the things that I thought would happen. Yet all of them are false.
Because Greyson took a hold of me.
He was supporting my back and head. We were gazing at each other until George and Daniela came. It was so awkward.
"Are you okay?" Greyson asked while helping me stand still.
"Yes, yes, I'm fine. Thank you," I replied with my flunky red cheeks.
I tucked my hair behind my ear and half-smiled. George passed by us and said, "Are you hurt, Tamia? I'm sorry, I just cleaned here."
"I'm fine, thank you. And by the way, you're way too cool for a dad," I said with a bit of giggle. Mom never cleaned the house except for their room.
He answered me with a laugh. I looked at Daniela and I think she's not having a good day. I tried to ask her if she's okay but she just gave me a nod.
We ate our breakfast together then I changed my clothes afterwards. I bid my goodbyes to all of them since Clio texted me to go home immediately.
I was about to go out by the door step when Greyson held my arm. I looked back to him with my eyebrows raised. He gave me a perky smile and said, "I'll text you," which made me smile from ear to ear. "Sure, sure," I answered.
I walked towards Daniela's porch and Greyson teased "Bye, Ashley!" and I looked back to say, "Don't call me that. Bye!" then laughed. It was great bonding with new people.
While walking down the street, random smiles are forming on my lips whenever I remember Greyson. He's really sweet and nice.

As I enter the gate of the hacienda, I saw Chase biking towards my direction. I gave him a smile. He stopped the bicycle in front of me and I'm looking very haggard since I just woke up.
"Where have you been? It's really early, you know," he enounced.
I scratched my head and gave him an irritated-but-cute face. "I slept at George's," I mumbled.
