'Kai, I'm sorry.'

"Why am I even thinking about that, he betrayed me, left me, and abounded me, even after all that I've done for him."

He took the photo and tore apart, "this is all you deserve" he said heartlessly.

Chapter 7: If you Dare

Overlord P.O.V.

Today is the day that I'm gonna attack Ninjago and my apprentice is finally ready to kill and destroy those idiotic ninjas and as I say, "there's no turning back."

Narration

"Master, everything is ready," said a familiar voice, "well, Kai, now one last thing." Overlord snapped his fingers and Kai's appearance totally changed, apart from the hair. His all black became a ninja outfit. "There, now everyone will know, you're my apprentice. Now get everyone to the portal and wait for me there I'll come as fast as possible." Kai nodded and went to get everyone to the portal.

~time skip~

Everyone, including Overlord, was at the portal. Overlord ordered his men to go first, then Kai and himself.

As they arrived there everyone in Ninjago city gasped not in fear but in shock. They were shocked to see the familiar face of Kai, they all thought he was dead after what the other ninjas had told them five years ago.

Flashback ~two weeks after Kai left~

"Hello ninjas, we have a visitor today. One of your greatest fans, Williams Roberson." After Sensei Wu finished that, a young boy with amber eyes and blonde hair (just imagine him as Skylor and Lloyd's Kid) came in. "h-hi" the little boy stuttered. "Hi, you must be Williams, right?" Lloyd approached him, and he nodded. "Yes, but you can call me Billy."

"So, Billy what brings you here?" Lloyd asked.

"I'm one of your greatest fan, and I follow every of your missions but I noticed that Kai had been missing these last two weeks."

Everyone froze at the mention of Kai's name.

"Oh, we weren't actually planning to tell this to anyone yet, but..."

Lloyd paused. "He, um, died in a, uh um uh, terrible accident."

"What happened?"

"We were on mission to, um, save Nya from, uh um uh, a kidnapping, and on the way Kai was, um, stung by a, um uh, poisonous spider and died." Lloyd lied in fake sadness.

"Oh, I'm sorry about that, I think I'm gonna go now."

Then they brought Billy back to his home, little did they know was that he would tell to everyone.

End Flashback

"Well, well, well, hello Ninjago, you know me, the Overlord, but you can call me your master for all eternity" Overlord spoke.

"Never will we call you in such a way." Shouted the familiar voice of Lloyd.

"Ugh, the ninjas, Kai get rid of them."

"With pleasure." Kai says with an evil grin.

He went in the direction of the ninjas with his katana and attacked them. Lloyd and Zane, the "best" ninjas of the team, circled him. They tried to punch, kick and knock him out but each time he blocked their attacks. Cole, the strongest, gave him a punch but was instantly blocked. Nya knew about Kai's fear of water so she tried to throw as much water to him as possible from the far distance she was. Then out of, literally, nowhere Kai popped up next to her grinning.

"Well, hello, little sister how have you been?"

"None of your business"

"Is your relationship with him that hard?" he said as he threw a shuriken in Jay's leg making him unable to move.

"NO!!!" Nya tried to be as confident as possible. (Now that I think of it, is this her reaction to what happened to Jay or the answer to Kai's question?)

"Sorry, sis, but this is where it ends." He then threw her to a wall knocking her unconscious. Lloyd came back for round two. They fought until Kai seemed to be dominating the young one. "So, Kiddo haven't changed a bit, I see."

Then in one strong kick Lloyd knocked him on the ground. He raised his katana ready to strike but he couldn't...

Kai was confused at first, but then stood up and pinned Lloyd on the ground.

"I see, you really haven't changed. Now what are you gonna do? Huh?"

"I maybe can't fight you, kill you, or even defeat you but I can do this."

And with that said he grabbed Kai's face bringing him closer, and kissed him. Kai was shocked at first but then kissed back. They pulled apart with Lloyd still pinned to the ground and Kai in shock.

"Hey! What was that for?"

"Kai, I'm sorry, I-I love y-you"

"You do?"

"Yes"

Kai didn't know how to react to this he just stood up from on top of Lloyd and helped the young one stand up.

"KAI!!!" they heard Overlord shout.

"Do you really have to go?" Lloyd asked in worry.

"Yes I have to and Kiddo, please..." Kai paused

"Don't ever tell anyone this happened."

Later he walked away and looked one last time at Lloyd saying...

"If you dare..."
